Whatdo people think about using some of the more expanded Bionics from the Bionics sourcebook in a AI robot build?

Do it all the time.
Use Rifts source book 1 to build the Robot then Your favorite Bionics source book to add Bionic Systems.

I am unaware of any canon statement permitting you to do so. However, as long as your GM approves, you can do as you like. The bionic systems are essentially robotic parts grafted onto a person, so I don't see a lot of reason why you couldn't. You might even argue that a purely robotic system should be stronger and more durable because it doesn't have to connect to any organic systems.

Likewise. I raid the bionics sections for robotics all the time, and vice-versa.

You should give a link to some of that Paladin Steel awesomeness.
Your work is much cleaner and and better written out than mine.

Yep. IMO, the only difference between "robotic" and "bionic" is that bionic systems are limited to reduce the possibility of damage to the organic systems they're attached to... your bionic arm COULD lift just as much as a robot, but you non-bionic spine and legs couldn't take it.

Just do a little searching and you may find something, of use.

After forcibly scrapping most of my Nephco products, the ones that survived the Safety Department at Paladin Steel are pretty awesome.

Nephco?
I'd like to see what you were working on...
And feel free to post your product input/criticisms/likes/dislikes on the Paladin Steel thread...Customer feedback helps us improve our products and fasttrack others through R&D.

What kind of vehicle?
We do some design consultancy too, especially using recycled (i.e. swiped off other companies'/nations' salvage
) parts.

The MR 652 is a sleek streetbike that transforms into a four armed Robot with a single wheel in place of legs.

Ya know, I've been working on a mineraloid alien with similar features....four arms, three tails, and a large wheel/Omni-directional ball in place of legs...Just coming up with a background that would explain such a strange physiology and how it came to be was a nightmare unto itself, until I had to handwave 'might have been deliberately engineered'.

The Bikebot was designed around a combat vehicle that provides Combat support for the Rider and Passenger.
The Single wide mobility wheel and jet nodes allow the MR652 an incredibly low combat profile.
The four arms and several particle beams were designed with Maximum fire power in mind.
Four Hydraulic Hammer hands are used in Hand to Hand Battles.

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=149649&hilit=RoughneckThis is basically a light machine limbed heavy machine body that uses a giantsize Exoskeleton.
Love this one actually.
