To our surprise, Julius found an entire case of the Rifts® Secrets of the Atlanteans and Rifts® Sovietski Raw Preview Editions while conducting a routine inventory. Apparently, someone had put a case of each aside where they didn’t belong and forgot about them.
Wasn't lack of inventory control one of the things that allowed the Crisis to happen?

It's natural for things to become misplaced or for counts to be improperly subtracted from time to time, especially when discussing short-runs of non-standard product. The fact that they are now conducting regularly scheduled physical inventories means that they've learned from their mistakes and are making sure they correct those errors and establish accountability. This is a good thing!

Probably why they were running the inventory check. Convention time chaos is an easy time for boxes to wander about in the warehouse.
