Hi folks,
Can anyone please point me in the direction of some decent vehicle combat rules from Palladium systems? At this stage I'm using the ones from HU2. I'm not talking about the control rolls and stuff, that's all good. Rather the AR mechanics and being fired at. The problem is HU, After the Bomb and Dead Reign all seem to have slightly different mechanics - DR not using vehicle armour as such (aside from it increasing the SDC), while HU does, plus the vehicle "critical hit" rules seem very fuzzy to me. I find the system is way too clunky and cumbersome and, since I'm playing After the Bomb, I want a system that's stream-lined and doesn't end up taking an entire game session just to play out a very small skirmish. Perhaps Robotech or Recon have better systems?
Regards,
RD

Their original rules I believe can be found in the After the Bomb "Road Hogs" supplement. You could try taking a look there.

Re: Vehicle combat rules
I use the Heroes Unlimited rules, mainly because I have the book handy.
