Maybe, you go there to get the first bit, then after a few minutes you tend to see the second bit.

Here's a few suggestions;
The Hobble Inn
The Stoned Cockatrice (aka 'The Stoney')
The Old Missus (backstory: This inn was so named due to a bad wager & an off-heard statement "If y'need me, I'll be over at the Mrs.'.")
The Drunken Kobold
The Pulled Pushcart
Her Majesty's Cups

Glad you like it. I vaguely recall the term from a British program, meaning the royal was inebriated ("They're in Her Majesty's Cups.") or something similar.

I try to go with ones that I can have the sign be a picture for the illiterates to understand, Thus...
Some Generic ones
The Broken Candle
The Blue Wolfen
The Two Moons
The Leaking Bucket
The Green Eye
The Winking Maid

And some ones that had a specific purpose or flavor
The Silver Sickle (the area was famed for the beer made with a special wheat grown nearby... they were moderately wealthy because of it)

The Key and Shackle (A tavern that catered almost exclusively to non-humans in Cerida)

The Red and White (An extended clan of hostellers, They were famed for their red hair with one white streak in it. The children all ran Inns all throughout the Old Kingdom with the same sign above the door... basically it was the first chain business in Palladium. My players loved it and would go to great lengths to patronize a Red and White, to the extent that in later times they were helping the family expand to new locations so that they could have a branch sufficiently nearby to their new area of operations to use as a base!)

The Silver Unicorn tavern/inn/bath/stables. Stable fee is 10 gold for horse/oxen, 25 for pegasi, 35 for gryphons. You can park your carriages or whatever in the fields. 60 gold per night, but always in need of help and a hunter or 2 comes does come in handy. Kill a deer, bear, boar, emu, or other large game animal and you can have a room for 3 days and nights. The Baron has no problem with hunting the larger animals.

However, the elven own establishment allows no roughens in, and all weapons are checked at the door and ALWAYS returned...all save those of the baron's or king's men and other HONORABLE warriors that the owners have heard about.

The moment a fire is lit in a hearth fire place in the rooms until they go out, the room wil stays at a comfortable 73 degrees. Regardless of the temp out side or inside or inside. And the fires will cook a pot of tea, toast, and popping corn, etc. Each room has a basket full of herbal teas, nuts, fruits, 2 medium loaves of fresh breads 50% chance in it being warm, butter, 3 4oz bottles of jams and/or nut butters, crackers, popping corn, 3-4 types of taffy, at least 2 types of cheeses, honey caramels, and summer sausage.

The owner and his wife are renowned bards and still preform at weeks end. They also own an orchard, bakery, dairy, herb farm, and a donut shop. Basically, they use the meat the hunters bring to for the inn and making the summer sausages.

Oh, yeah, it's got 30 rooms good sized rooms, 4 master rooms, and it's is basically the heart of the road side community at a crossroads.

For breakfast you're served a choice of: oatmeal, cream of wheat, sausage, pepper gravy, biscuits...Also available for those who are eager to get going are fried pies, apple fritters, boiled cookies, and donuts.

I don't own any taverns in that real estate, but might I suggest

The Drunken Dragon- Front for a dragon to buy his liquor supplies through, every now and then he will be there drinking (in human-ish form). Once in a blue moon he may even be there with friends...
The Silver Saint- Recommended to every Paladin, Priest of Light or holy person who is nearby, known for its clean sheets, decent but plain food, and proximity to various places important to such figures (Churches, Training Grounds, Soap Store)
The Wizards Beard- A place that somehow manages to feel like a dark dive while being filled with luxuries, books and pretty ladies. If you wanna meet with you fellow magic user in a place where comfortably stuffed chairs surround one of the 2 dozen fire places or rest in an equal number of libraries (of which about half also have a fire place or brazier) as pipe smoke and pretty servers drift through the building then this is the place for you

Pub Lick Axes (Sign features a Wolfen licking blood off the Two-Axe Tribe's iconic crossed-axe symbol)
-This pub doubles as a place for non-tribe members to hire the services of Two Axe longboats for shipping, security, or privateering. Regulars pay well to have extra-strong drinks served during business negotiations.

Took a page right out of spongebob one day as I was sitting there with my kids. The SALTY SPITOON, complete with a bouncer out front to say" Welcome to the Salty Spitoon how tough are you?". Forcing the players to prove to the bouncer how tough they are to even get in which for a GM is hilarious especially if you set the bar very high making them do all sorts of things out in the street to get in. But...... to complete it with the high standards of getting in, the bar happens to be the place that all the strongest creatures in the Megaverse go to get away from it all and let off a little steam. Everybody from demon lords to gods to heroes of renown to splugorth. The greatest of beings all take turns being the bartender. One of the few rules of the salty spitoon is no weakness is allowed. Had one player manage to make it in and the only available seat at the time was between a large nordic man and a large greek man. Player shortly found out that it was Thor and Hercules and they were having a conversation on which pantheon was the best and asked the player which one he liked best. To which he crumbled at the question and was thrown out for weakness. No player has survived more than 10 minutes in the Salty Spitoon but they keep trying in every game we play...lol.
