Whether it's news depends on how naive one is... most Robotech fans know by now that grand promises of "Exciting things are happening" invariably means "bugger all is actually going on".

As you may have surmised by now, Harmony Gold and Robotech will not be winning any popularity contests anytime soon. They've pissed off fans of too many bigger, more popular franchises.
