In HU 2nd edition the mega hero get an increase of 50% to SDC
The example they use to describe a 50% increase shows a 100% increase instead. "Increase the total S.D.C. by 50%: Include S.D.C. from super-
powers when making this adjustment, i.e. Mega-Characters with
Invulnerability get an additional 240 S.D.C. points from that power" invulnerability gives 4d6 * 10 sdc so maximum roll is 240 plus 50% would be 360.
Did they mean double sdc and ranges or is thier example just bad math?

Re: Mega hero range and sdc
The SDC bonus example in the HU2 core book is just bad. In Other Words.... it is just wrong.
The way I understand it, is to set that bonus aside till you are nearly done with he char, having added up all the other bonuses (powers & Skills & if an alien Racial) then apply the +50%. And then, if the char gets some bonus SDC from level up skills, apply the +50% bonus to that before adding it into the total.

May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.

It's strange to just say 240 when there is a variable dice amount...
Maybe it was originally written with something like "mega-heroes get maximum possible outcome from bonus dice to HP and SDC" that later got canned?
On that line of thought, maybe it was originally 100% then cut to 50% at last minute without altering example.
Another might be that at a rushed glance someone might think 4D6x10=480.
Re: Mega hero range and sdc
For the heck of it, I'll mention the way I handle it.
I always thought the reason they said Invulnerability gave +240 is instead of +50% for the SDC from that power, just add 240 SDC just to reflect the fact that the power is more than a few extra SDC. It has a more broad effect on taking (or not) damage than adding SDC, so instead of +50%, just add a sizable block of SDC.
On the same topic of +50% SDC, I have a house rule that it does not add to the bonus SDC from Tremendous SDC or Massive Damage Capacity's large SDC bonus (on the off chance I let a PC use it).
