Hi Folks,
I promised to post a few new psychic abilities from Rifts® CS Manhunters to give you a little taste of what to expect. Here’s the third for your enjoyment. A new Super-Psionic ability this time around.

A Super-Psionics Ability
Anti-Demon: Spirit Slayer Blade
Range: Self. Handheld. See CS Manhunter Wolf for expanded abilities and low I.S.P. cost for that O.C.C. only.
Duration: 5 minutes per level of experience to wield the blade.
Damage (special): See details below.
Duration of Penalties Inflicted: 1D4 minutes per each successful strike of the Spirit Slayer Blade. Moreover, the Spirit Slayer Blade reduces the bio-regenerative capabilities of Astral Beings, demons, Entities, spirits, and vampires by half!
I.S.P.: 30 (10 I.S.P. for the CS Manhunter Wolf and Fetish Shaman, see Rifts® Spirit West, only).
Reminiscent of a Psi-Sword, this smaller, thinner, psychic weapon appears to be made of a different, ethereal energy than that of the unmistakable and famous Psi-Sword. In fact, the “blade” of the Spirit Slayer resembles a slender dagger or thin, short energy sword made of a comparatively faint light. A light psychics compare to the shimmering umbilical cord that connects Astral Travelers to their physical body.
Damage (special): Varies with the nature of the target. Note: Penalties are NOT cumulative with multiple Spirit Slayer Blade strikes. They remain the same whether struck once or twenty times. The duration of the penalties, however, are cumulative: 1D4 minutes per each strike of the blade.
Astral Beings and Vampires: 4D6 points of damage direct to Hit Points and reduce bio-regeneration by half for the duration of penalties.
Entities/Ghosts/Spirits: 5D6 M.D. per strike of the blade and reduce bio-regeneration by half for the duration of penalties.
Demons and other Supernatural Beings: 4D6 M.D. and reduce bio-regeneration by half for the duration of penalties.
Dragons and Creatures of Magic: No physical damage is inflicted, but the blade strikes at the victim’s “spirit” or morale, making the creature of magic wary of fighting, hesitant, and unsure of itself.
Inflicts the following penalties upon its magical victims: -2 attacks per melee round! -2 on Perception Rolls, -2 on initiative, -2 on all combat maneuvers (strike, parry, dodge, etc.), -1 to save vs Horror Factor, and -10% to save vs coma and death, as well as -20% skill penalty, and reduce speed by -20%. Bio-Regeneration is normal, not affected.
Humans, D-Bees and Other Mortal Beings: No physical damage is inflicted, but the blade strikes at the victim’s “spirit” or morale making the person wary of fighting, hesitant, and unsure of himself.
Inflicts the following penalties upon its mortal victims: -1 on Perception Rolls, -1 on initiative, -1 on all combat maneuvers (strike, parry, dodge, etc.), -1 on all saving throws, and -5% to save vs coma and death, as well as -10% skill penalty, and reduce speed by -10%. Note: Penalties are NOT cumulative with multiple Spirit Slayer Blade strikes and remain the same whether struck once or 20 times. The duration of the penalties, however, are cumulative: 1D4 minutes per each strike of the blade.
