So, I started throwing together a series of thoughts and topics into a series of blog posts, targeting mostly "new to Rifts Players and GMs" and folks perhaps thinking about starting as a Game Master. Altogether, I hope to create a sort of primer or précis for folks thinking of coming into Rifts from other games.
First post is up, talking about Player Psychology, looking at the social contract between GM and Players, the epic journey players want, setting goals, setting the scene (leveraging conventions and tropes), gaining and reinforcing player agency, as well as progress & learning (e.g. levelling, rewards).
For any new/prospective GM’s have another topic they would like to see? For the more ‘mature’ GM’s out there, anything you feel I am missing?

"Social contract? Social contract?!
The players are Bit Actors in my MAGNUM OPUS. They should be Grateful to take Part and must be PUNISHED when they Derail my ARTISTIC VISION!"
(If you ever meet a GM with that opinion of this game, back away slowly. Don't run; movement attracts the predator's eye. Such GMs are toxic.)
Joking aside, interesting idea. I'll take a gander and let you know if I have any feedback.
