That's pretty creative and cool.

I'd imagine the wall of thorns have a range limit.
I think it only does S.D.C. damage.

Still, I'd allow it.
Seems it is all about the trap and getting your targets where you want them to be to spring this on them. Given that Warlocks have, basically no defensive spells (armor of Ithan, etc); yeah i'd allow it.

Absolutely.

(1) Yes I would and in fact I have. A player at a convention used WoT to fill a corridor and when the soldiers started to push through he had the vines entangle and trip them to slow them even more. You just have to remember the limits of the spells, particularly the animate spell. Animate is a radius around the warlock so unless you are in the middle of the thorn area you are not likely to be able to control the far edge if you do it to maximum.
