Ressurecting juicers

My question pertains to when a juicer dies by checking out and if someone tries to ressurecting them. I feel like I remember one resurrection spell saying it was harder (something like a - 40% to the roll) to bring back juicers who died from their drugs and I need to now if this is real and if this appljes to other ressurecting spells. Also would higher end spells be able to purge their body of drugs? They would prolly still have to deal with the mental effects of withdrawal but would thier be anything else that happens?

I'd generally go with any juicer who died of juicer old age to need a spell that not just returned life to someone, but also could radically reconstruct their body... heal all the damage the drugs had done.

I imagine a lot of juicers die when their IRMSS can no longer keep their heart from exploding.

They'd only come back to life for a moment and immediately die again. you would have to radically repair the damage to their body to make it stick.

I don't think that is how resurrection works. If you needed to reconstruct the body first then how do you explain someone dying from a gunshot wound or having been stabbed in a vital organ? Resurrection, in RIFTS term, will bring back anybody with FULL hp. The only thing it can't do is regenerate lost limbs.

Because the problem isn't that the Juicer died when their HP was low, it's because the body is worn out. It's the same reason you can't ressurect someone who died of Old Age. the body is just used up.

Pardon me if this gets too metaphysical, but one of the limits I've always thought about resurrection is the dead have to agree to come back.

Juicers, we are told repeatedly, have willing traded their natural lifespan for a few brief years as a superhuman. I think this agreement interferes with the ability to return.

Most resurrection in rifts does not remove injuries or cause of death. So resurrecting a juicer that died to last call, will still have the burn out last call death looming over their head. So you would just bring them back to die again.

I would rule that a Juicer who is resurrected would be restored to life without his Juicer powers or augmentation, just a regular human. Re-calculate his hp and SDC/attributes without his powers and keep on trucking. He could get re-Juiced, or pick a new OCC for his new life. Any skills that cross over are frozen at their current % until his new OCC has enough levels to increase them.

Exactly! It even states that the resurrected person gains his FULL hp meaning that he comes back in full health. Jeffar also makes sense although that is not RAW.
