SotA Tattoo Changes

In Secrets of the Atlanteans, most of the damage-dealing tattoos had the note "Does SDC damage to SDC targets and MD damage to MDC targets added to them. Not asking about whether this was right or anything, but curious about two things.

1: You activate your Lightning Bolts tattoo and zap someone in MD body armor/power armor. Does it do MD damage to the armor but when the MD is depleted any "leak damage" becomes SDC? Would make sense but clarification would have been nice.

2: Are these just for the tattoos used by True Atlanteans or are the Splugorth tattoos listed in Atlantis all upgraded to these stats/notes as well? I could see it both ways. Either unified stats for all tattoos regardless of origin, or the TA ones switch to SDC because they don't want to turn a squishy target to quarks whereas the Splugorth really do not care?

Though one could easily see the Splugorth wanting "damage adjusting" tats that go to SDC on leakthrough. After all, quarks or clouds of atoms make really poor slaves... Regardless, the last thing a Tattooed OCC ever wants to face with these rules changes is a SDC Juicer.

I'd say it depends on whether you play with the GI Joe rule or not. If you do, then there is no leak damage at all. I don't play with that rule, but then I also play a 10:1 SDC game, so I don't have an opinion on MD leak damage, since I only have SD leak damage.

I had not thought of there being a difference based on who made the tattoo, but if you don't mind the extra bookkeeping, I guess it could be an interesting differentiator, not just on damage, but maybe other effects like alignment buffs/debuffs...

Regardless, the last thing a Tattooed OCC ever wants to face with these rules changes is a SDC Juicer.
