Gen Con 2025 and You!!!

Unread post by NMI »

It is that time of year again. The time where Palladium Books and myself ask you, the fans, to help support and promote Palladium Books at Gen Con - 2025. This year, Gen Con starts on Wed, July 30th and runs through August 3rd. We are looking for GMs for all of Palladium Books' great games - Rifts, Heroes Unlimited, Palladium Fantasy, Ninjas and Superspies, Dead Reign, and of course - Savage Rifts and TMNT. If you GM enough games at GMs who run enough games for enough hours and players can qualify for a full, free, 4-day badge!! These are not cheap. A 4 day badge this year is $155 – This part could be changed or removed as needed as it primarily reflects on Palladium.

How do I qualify for a GM badge?
The math boils down to running enough games, for a certain amount of hours, and for a certain number of players per table. It boils down to - 3-4 games for 4 hours for at least 6 players. This will promise you a GM badge. I have been coordinating these events for Palladium @ Gen Con for several years now and it has always worked out. Past GMs had fun. Palladium got to meet the fans that run their games. People just had a great time.

Hotel Block
Some of you will most likely be getting a hotel in the area. This is fine, however...
You will need to purchase your own badge via Gen Con and then, once you have received your physical GM badge at GenCon from me or Glen, you can take the badge you paid for plus the GM badge to the appropriate room at GenCon and file for a refund. Refunds are processed, handled and dealt with by GenCon.

Parking
Parking for GenCon is up to you. There are many great places around the convention center to park. Obviously, there is ride-sharing via Uber or Lyft. For parking though, I recommend using an app like Spot Hero or Park Wiz.

How to submit an Event for GenCon?
Attached to this email is a form I have been using. This form is based on the online form GenCon itself uses. Fill out the form and send it back to me @ nmi@thedeificnmi.com, Use GenCon 2025 Events in your subject line. Tips for a good submission that doesn't need alteration or will not cause issues..
1. Fill out one [1] form for each event you wish to run. Want to run 4 games? Then please send me four [4] seperate files in the same email.
2. Spellcheck everything. The less editing of your submissions I need to do, then the faster I can submit thm. GenCon also runs submissions through their spellcheck and grammar check system and will reject them if they od not edit them themselves.
3. Description Lengths - 2 of the fields on the attached form have a note indicating not to provide more than 200 or 900 characters. Please follow this guideline as if you send me too much, GenCon will not accept it.
That is pretty much it. If you have any questions, please, please - just ask me. I am more than willing to offer you my advice, opinion, or feedback.

Before I forget, the deadlines for turning in submissions is below. The sooner you can submit them to me, the sooner I can turn them in. I usually plan to turn in submissions within a day or 2 of receiving them. At most, I might have to wait till the weekend after I receive them.

Deadlines
Event Submissions - Open Now
Event Submissions - now through March 9th
Submission by March 9th should nail your event a space in the event catalog but this is not a guarantee. Be warned!!!
Late Event Submissions - March 10th up through 6 weeks prior to the start of GenCon

Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from many of you!

**Days before Gen Con, I send a final email to the GMs that include Glens email and personal cell phone #. The GMs can then reach out to him in order to arrange to pick up their badges from him, typically the Wed or Thursday of Gen Con
