1) What worldbook do you want to Palladium Revised?

The main book all the way. things have changed in subsequent world books and the core book needs to be brought up to speed.

2)What wood you Change in revised worldbooks?

Too long to go through.

3)Why Kevin Siembieda needs C.J Carella for Underseas2?

He doesn't.

4)What D-Bees Races can be found on more then one continent?

practically all the palladium races can be found everywhere, and aside from a few like the nation specific(tengu, ect) most d-bees are everywhere. rifts wouldn't exactly be decriminant where it drops it's payload of people.

5)Who will Win a WAR between Lazlo and the Federation of magic?

I'm a firm beleiver that Lazlo would pretty much lose any war they got involved in. They're military isn't the largest, and their main group, the cyber knights, are too spread out to be much help. Besides, it's been stated a few times in alot of books that if comfronted with a war they would flee before they fight.

1) What worldbook do you want to Palladium Revised?

The Core Rules book. What this game could stand is a good 2.0 version of the main rules. And personally I think they can be re-written in such a was as to not make it necessary to force the players to buy new copies of all the other books. (Dear Palladium: If you need someone for this particular job, I'm your man.)

2)What wood you Change in revised worldbooks?

Mainly the rules that govern the game in all its various aspects. But I wouldn't want to try to do away with the speed at which the game can be played out. Hero System is the best out there, but it takes ten nimutes just to make your character thow a single punch. There's no reason why the Palladium 2.0 rules couldn't remain quick and furious.

3)Why Kevin Siembieda needs C.J Carella for Underseas2?

Because though CJ loves to make his stuff the baddest on the planet as of that book's printing, he is a damn fine writer.

4)What D-Bees Races can be found on more then one continent?

Other than Dwarves, Elves and all the usual Tolkein-esque arctypes, depends on why your GM is.

5)Who will Win a WAR between Lazlo and the Federation of magic?

Lazlo. They have the biggest Dragon population on the planet, are exceedingly strong in the TW department, and they have much better organization as well. The FOM may have some really good stuff and powerful mages, they are far too disorganized to form a true offensive. They lack cohesion even on the most basic of levels. Plus we are working half blind due to the fact there is not Lazlo World Book as of yet, so who knows what the full extent of their resources are?

1) The Core Rule book, Rifts sourcebook number 1 these need a major uprgade big time. Too may other to list here.

2)What Dead Boy said.

3)It does not have to be Carella. Get some other freelancer just as long as it comes out I don't care who works on it.

4) I would say a large varitey. It all dpends on the GM and the type of game he/she is running.

5)I would say Lazlo. Just because the CS needs to be taken down a peg or two

Main book. See sig. I was hoping that the GM guide would be the diffenitive answer to many questions. It did answer many, but not all. I want a RULE book. I would BUY a rule book. The WHOLE BOOK be filled with RULES and THATS IT. couple pages on attacks per melee...a nice EASY chart with bonuses and penelties for shooting and dodging vs. mondern weapons...how combat is handeled in every known way...Lots of CHARTS, charts are easier to see, make out, and look up than written rules...Some sample NPC magic users would be nice instead of rolling up each guy so he can die in 5 minutes...

Since the GM guide, we have 4 different books out there that all have different rules on the same subject. The original Main Book (well, its still in print as of the comming of the GM guide...), Chaos Earth, Conversion Book One, and the GM guide/Book of Magic.

heck, if palladium were truly "Mega-versal", they would make a Mega-versal Rule book, and never have to re print the rules again. I hate to say this...but like GURPS did...(GURPS sucks, but they are more "Megaversal" than Palladium ever was)

2)What wood you Change in revised worldbooks?

See above.

3)Why Kevin Siembieda needs C.J Carella for Underseas2?

Cause CJ was the best damn writer Palladium ever had. Sure he was a little munchkin, so I would not let him write source material, but since CJ has stopped writing for PB, their story lines have been not so good.

4)What D-Bees Races can be found on more then one continent?

Other have answered this.

5)Who will Win a WAR between Lazlo and the Federation of magic?

Judging on what I have avaliable, I know what the FoM has, I have no clue what Lazlo has, so I guess the FoM would win. Still, im a firm beleiver in orginazation, and the FoM has none. So, Lazlo may still have an advantage, but I can only speculate till I flip through my Lazlo book which is still locked in Kevins head.

You're welcome. :)

1) What world book do you want Palladium to revise?

I'd like to see the core Rifts book revised. Ideally, in a loose, Rifts-specific version of d20. I think there's a lot that Palladium could offer that system, including active defense (an alternative to the AC system) and a point-based magical system for d20.

It would allow them some material to provide a sense of scale (Mutants & Masterminds/Silver Age Sentinels for high powered, d20 Mecha for robots, etc), which Rifts completely lacks. On top of that, it would tap into the gigantic d20 market.

Release PDF updates (available on RPGNow?) for existing Rifts stuff, or include a series of updates for those units that require change. That, or just a conversion book. Who knows. Either way, I want to see the Palladium system, for Rifts, fixed.

In my humble opinion, it's d20 Modern. That, and being able to have a basis for doing a Kankoran in D&D seems pretty snazzy to me too.

Though I kind of like the d20 rule system, especially how they made the open liscense very loose so it could be greatly customized for each setting, I don't think that would be the way to go here. Mainly because there are 30+ books in the rifts system that would require drasstic revisions, and that would cost boo-coup bucks for both us the players and them the publishers. And even if the revisions were released as a PDF file you could down load, that would still prohibit those who don't have computer access to get it. Plus theres the issue of just how Palladium could make a significant profit with such a setup. They are a business after all, and the main goal of any buiness is to make enough money to cover "cost of goods sold", overhead, non-inventory related labor and expenses, and still have enough left over to pay the taxes and pay for food, rent and home to all the individual employees and owners. Nice idea, but it doesn't make good economic sense.

begging pardon... but if you're serious, you're a damn fool. even if PB were up to kowtowing to WotC (and I think they aren't), Rifts stuff is just plain incompatible with the d 20 system period. the multifarious OCCs, PCCs RCCs &so on & so forth just *can't* be equalized to all use the same XP table ... a vagabond is NOT designed to be equal to a rogue scholar, who himself is not particularly equal to a juicer or wizard, who themselves will *never* be in the same class as dragons, demi gods and other cosmo knights....

to boot, the SDC/MDC system is not much susceptible to adaptation (yes, I know, there are a lot of folk out ther who'd just be delighted if K S the Man just decided to do away with the dual system, but personally I feel it's just fine and does its job well)... and that's just a start... but I'll stay to those basics and rest my case

Oh, yeah... there's no need of *anything* to give a sense of scale : Rifts is designed to be without one, and I believe deliberately so, and that this is part of it's charm

3) Why Kevin Siembieda needs C.J Carella for Underseas 2?

CJ does excellent work, comes out with some nasty-powerful stuff that'll appeal to a big part of the power-game-loving Rifts market (anyone who has read Buffy try and tell me CJ doesn't know how to write to a niche following) and it'll sell tons.

Then, despite being the Editor-in-Chief for every product, when someone asks him "Why is the stuff in Underseas 2 so powerful?" he can just blame CJ. :D

well... point well noted... but I notice that as Editor in Chief, he's still published uncorrected stuff that would have needed precision or expansion... then again, I'd like to know why CJ stopped working with PB. thirdly, I thought that some of the notions that would most definitely need to be in Underseas 2 (like Lemuria and the Lemurians) did not come out of Carella's mind. Uh oh... I don't know of Buffy RPG... but given what I know of the series (I'm no fan), if it's CJ who's written that... well... he just dropped a bevy of notches in my esteem : he definitely *can* do better than providing RPG adaptation (in whatever rules system, though I'd be even more disappointed if it was d20) for this tripe.

I won't even comment on what you said about Lazlo... but if I did it would not be laudatory

None, really...

2)What wood you Change in revised worldbooks?
...but I guess some MDC and MD rescaling and minor metric fixes could always be done.

3)Why Kevin Siembieda needs C.J Carella for Underseas2?

He does? Since when?

4)What D-Bees Races can be found on more then one continent?
All of the above, at the whim of the GM. Rifts Earth is quite... porous.

5)Who will Win a WAR between Lazlo and the Federation of magic?

Never match a nation with stats against a nation without stats.
wow, Zerb, that was EXCATLY what I was going to say. . . almost word for word 8-)

The main book, needs to be brought up to date.

Nae much I suppose...

Huh?

Just about any which haven't been made "specific" to a place.

I think Lazlo... they have alot of allies, including possibly Dweomer and definately New Lazlo... remember, Lazlo is about as powerful as Tolkeen was.

Never match a nation with stats against a nation without stats.
For that mater never match a nation with Stats against a nation with stats because Kev will just revise them to fit his vision of what it should be

For this example, just as the 10 Million man (not counting the women and the Male-Female-Hermophidite-other of other speices army is about to make its move against the City-state of Lazlo and new Lazlo, a weird fuxuation happens to the laylines during the solar exlcips and abrupty a army of 20 million Shemarian Infantry ( not counting the Shemarian power armor, light medium and heavy armor, Artilery, airforce and navy, all enhanced with Mechanoid tec) seemingly apears out of nowhere and proceeeds to toss the Slugs off of the continent and carve a huge swath out of the Magic zone.

then just as the CS is about to do something kind of stupid, Plato decides that Archi was one of the threats, and send a task force consisting of more dragons than even the Splug thought lived on the planet(complete with Dragon scale heavy Dragon Infantry assult weapons, Tanks, artillery bomber sized air superiority fighters and sutch, and makes a beeline to Archies bunker where they break in and get that skitophrenic Toaster to finaly run his antivirus, spybot, and run a system Defrag which results in Archi runing rationaly. In the mean time . . . .

you get the Idea.
