No, they can hire the needed hands .

Or they themselves can be hired on as laborers or crewmen.

If they actually want to pilot a spaceship, navigate in space, repair spacecraft systems etc., they will need the appropriate skills.

Don't forget that characters can recieve skill programming with certain cybernetic alterations. Also, many of the HI-TECH "stuff" of Phase World may be able to translate many desires that humanoids may have.

I've done it without any problems. The characters hired the appropiate people and managed to pick up some skills along the way. So long as they aren't forced into a situation like they have to pilot the ship through an asteroid field, they should be OK. Still, its cool to see how the players react, and adapt to the situation.

sorry to disagree... but I fear my psi tech can manage all that without the specific training ... okay, for the navigation, he'll need a properly programmed computer with the necessary database, but as for piloting, repair and maintenance, he's naturally up to snuff
