most likely, kev forgot to do his homework again and is still in denial about south america being done by another author.

then again cibola isn't technically part of south america (it's a mini-dimension).

personally, I think the SRR area would be a kewl place to create a naruni trade zone (and setup one hell of an adventure).

no one dominant power (save the new babylonians, would could be easily cowed if the naruni cater to their heathenistic nature).

I think the naruni will strike back within the decade.

captain_Killern wrote:In Naruni Phase 2 it says "Naruni Enterprises has never tried selling weapons anywhere on Earth but North America"

Which is strange because South American 1 says "Most guns (Cibolan), however are produced by Naruni Enterprises, a mulitidimensional weapons manufacturer (for more information about Naruni Enterprises and their weapons line see Rifts Mercenaries and Phase world.)

What follows this is a list of the classic Naruni line as found in Phaseworld source book 1. The only difference is how they look (they were drawn by Kevin Long).

Now I know that the South America books were never popular, but are they no longer acurate? Was this just a mistake or is the new line that Naruni was never in South America?

If the South America books are acurate, then the Coalition could not have kicked them off earth, but just North America. Naruni could have expanded or kept the south american operations, as (according to Wave 2) they were never interested in Rifts earth as a market to begin with, but rather wanted to use the Abundant Rifts themselves to find new markets.

Let us not forget that C.J. Carella is a very liberal author, he tweaked with continuity often (in Phase World it says there is a ley line on WormWood  )

EDIT: By "liberal" I do not mean politically.

That's how I read it.

Z hit it, they are interdimensional. Trying to compete with Splynn, so there's nothing that says Naruni is there, only that the equipment is available.

Bingo, we have a winner! :ok:

And just my 2 creds' worth... while I like Vince Martin's illustrations for the most part, I think the Naruni designs Kevin Long did are far more plausible and therefore are the ones I use when illustrating characters packing Naruni hardware.

Really?! What'd I win?!

You win... a free membership to the Forums of the Megaverse!

Oh, wait. That's been done.

How about a free hybrid gas/electric powered turtleneck sweater? :D

Well, it's a TW creation, so it comes with a standard 'one size fits all' spell built-in... so yes it does. :ok:

I believe the book says no Ley Lines at all, some caves are places of power similar to Ley Lines. But then again I could be wrong.

I was going to say that Mindwerks was written waaay too long before the Naruni were introduced... but since the 1st printing of Mindwerks is only a month or so earlier to that of Mercenaries... I'd guess there just *might* be a mention of Naruni there... just don't ask me where the frag it is.

as to the Megaversal Legion having Naruni equipment... the answer is definitely : nope. they have their very own line of equipment... the basic stuff (hand weapons and body armor) is not superior to N E stuff, except for range, but the power armor, borgs and vehicles are impressive.

Yes the Megaversal Legion does use Naruni weapons, from hand weapons to the big robots and tanks. Page 113 SA 2.

More plausable? From an advanced-tech race? NOT!! They don't appeal asthetically to most, including me... they look kinda quaint really.
