Intersting take. Geez I wish PB would get the Robotech licence back and let you and Zerebus write some books...

IIRC, Kevin Sembeida said the Harmony Gold could have cared less about what PB produced. So I bet alternate settings would have been OK. Besides Return of the Masters was far from canon RT...

<edit> And yes that pic of Dana is nice... :)

NAMES:
"The Circle Begins" of course
If you don't want to be so obvious "Midgard" or "The Serpent's Head"
"Zero" as in degrees, the beginning and end of a circle
The title could just be a symbol ,
"Second Time Around"
"Not Again"
"Reaccuring Dream"
"Relapse"
"Parallel Rotation"

The one issue I have is what are this dimensions Rick, Max etc. going to do? Is this parallel world going to happen in exactly the same order? Are you using the concept that time travel is impossible because identical matter can not exist in two places at the same time, therefor if one can travel back in time it would have to be into an alternate reality (aka parallel dimension)?

OK comment on prepairing for Zentradi some of the crew should know that some of the Zentradi that are coming to Earth were members of the Zor's believers (I forgot what they were called). So showing Zor's clone REM when the Zentradi first attempt to make contact will have them switch sides. Shouldn't the Sentinels present be worried about contacting their home planets to warn them of the coming slavery by the RT masters?

However, with the launch of RT.com, HG seems to be much more concerned with what happens with the Robotech-liscence, at least from a story standpoint. While I guess that's a good thing and I do wish they had taken that kind of interest much sooner, I can't say I agree with most of their decisions on issues of story, especially what's been done since Tommy Yune started writing for Robotech, the guy's a good artist but I don't like what he's done re-writing Robotech. But hey, you can't please everyone and some people seem to like what he's done so far.

Zerebus- I'd write a Robotech book for free if I could have done it before Yune at least. BTW, I'd love a super robot sig image, but I've been having difficulty finding a good one, and hopefully finding an image hosting site won't be that difficult in comparison.

I also thought that PB was ordered to not produce any more books until after the new series was released, which is pretty bad since it STILL hasn't been released. Then when reliscensing came around they also wanted more money while still requiring them not to produce any more suppliments until the series was released.

I like the Zentradi Version Better the U.N. Spacey should have adopted it also since an armored cockpit is more favorable. Maybe the armored cockpit doesn't have as much visibility and human pilots have issues with it since that is how they know how to fly. However, that many humans shouldn't be piloting it and the Zentradi are more familiar with the armored cockpit.

Zerebus wrote:Well, he is of course under no obligation to follow that picture. Frankly, I find the implied transformation a little hard to believe based on those pictures. What it does do, however, is to give us a better option for a "Zentraedi veritech" than the VF-XX fighter in Macross II, and that's what's important.

Better as in more realistic or better as in cooler? Because like you said the transformation is out there how do those wings become legs? Wherea as the VF-XX is more beleivable but to me it just seems dull though it does look organic like the zentradi ships.

I reserve rights to "Another Another Alternate Robotech Dimension." :p ;)

So would your next story be Another Another Another Alternate Robotech Dimension or Another Another Alternate Alternate Robotech Dimension?

Infinity or circle doesn't have to be within their own dimension...hey a circle with another dimension is a sphere...darn already taken. Anyway it could just refer to them having to go through it again, and again, the particular dimension is irrelivant.

ROBOTECH: Serpents Head

Serpent could be in a midgard circle, mobius or a coil. Now a thought I just had, the only way to kill a serpent is to kill the head. Concept put into the story The group will continue to go through this different ways until they destroy the SDF-3 and the Visitor (used for Zor's ship, because I forgot what they called it) at the beginning.

Bah I was going to write it all out but I'll just say it this way. They finish and Rem thinks he's figured out how they got in this dimension and might be able to get everyone home. They fold and end up back in time again Rem realized they have yet again ended up in a parallel dimension on a collision course again with the Visitor he dreads the realization that pops up in his head...there never getting home and the only way to stop this damn repition through time they seem to be cursed to repeat is to destroy the Visitor and themselves. They draw in close to the Visitor in hopes that when they use the main cannons on it they will be cought in the ensuing blast. The SDF-3 opens up with both cannons along the long axis of the Visitor . The Visitor is totally annihilated and there is an unexplained flash of light, rather than an explosion, that comes from the Visitor and envelops the SDF-3 when it fades the stars are different.

Now this is yet another place where the story can change either; Rem cursing their luck tries to find out where they are (splits here) shortly finds that they've just been turned around sensors suddenly pick up a ship unfolding...It's the Visitor. It has started again, and a little more of Rems sanity slips away. OR scanning the skies Rem finds that they are in (name a system). While he is wondering how they ended up there a voice comes over the comm system (who were you having in charge from the first repitition? they ask for him). Rem colapses to the floor, on his hands and knees he sobs but one word "home".

Dairugger XV wrote:Intriguing thought but I don't think I'm going to have them do a whole lot of time jumping. It'd be the end of the third war (at least by the standard timeline) before it's tried again anyway. Serpent's Head seems like the best title thus far. I'll edit and use it, but if something better comes up I might change it.

That is what I figured go to the same point they where were when they jumped the last time.

If you take a two loop coil and force the ends together it is a mobius. Besides a coil doesn't explain a parallel dimension.

Actually, when I revised RT OCCs I ended up with a system that was very much MOS/Package designed. I find it more realistic to the game.
