Many of my players think that a high IQ gives you bonuses to all skill type checks such as a ley line walkers abilities or a TW's what are your opinions on that?

Yep. as long as it has a percentile roll you absolutly get the bonus smarter people have an easier time senseing things since sense ley lines is a LEARNED skill. they learn it better faster and that's why they get the bonus.

Also does it make any sense for the special skills given by acrobatics or gymnastics to get a bonus from a high IQ.

absolutly yes. it also makes sense, again, they simply learn the subtle tricks faster and better. how to hold the feet so, ect.

Also how about TW converted weapons such as converting the Big Bore Weapons in New West to TW, would they still have their special ability to knock people down? Or lets say you convert one of the over under CS weapons, could you make the grenade launcher into a Magic Net gun?

the big bore series knockdown factor is NOT a feature of the gun at all. it's is ONLY from the explosive ammo. turning it to TW means NOT using the ammo so no knockdown.

And the last question for this? lets say you have a gun that fires the Fireball or Magic Net spells does it only take one attack to fire, or does it take up half your attacks as the rules suggest? And in the above situation do you really need to roll with the fireball or does it keep its extreme accuracy?

TW guns take only one action to fire, that's their good part, they let you cast spells faster. no rule anywhere suggests it takes half a melee, whatever gave you that idea in the first place?

You can have something done good, fast and cheap. If you want it done good and fast, it's not going to be cheap. If you want it done fast and cheap it won't be good. If you want something done good and cheap it won't be done fast. ~ Dark Brandon

If you're referring to things like sensing magic or ley lines, No. those aren't skills. they're special abilities.

no, but thats the way the rules are.

Larry97501 wrote:Also how about TW converted weapons such as converting the Big Bore Weapons in New West to TW, would they still have their special ability to knock people down?

no. unless the spell that it shot had a knockdown feature.

sure, why not?

one attack.

the TW device functions like the spell, so it will retain the accuracy of a fireball.
