Look the thing's so full of bugs anyway I wouldn't worry about compatibility. Just install it and hope for the best, but don't expect the program to be stable up to date or even accurate. It's only really good for creating crappy NPCs, even then it crashes every two minutes.

Whilst on the subject of the RGMC, I had a look at it in Access the other day, it dosen't look too hard to update, if the known bugs could be ironed out. I don't know that much about access, so I'm sure someone who actually knew what they were doing could fix the bugs, the real work would be researching and data entry of all the new and updated info, which even an idiot like me could do.

Besides the built in bugs?

I've had it on three different computers with XP there were a few glitches, but nothing unusual or weird. The same bugs that showed up in windows 98 are still there in XP :)

Same here, but I did update it with all of the Coalition War campaign armor, guns and a few power armor units. Works great for beefed up NPCs on the Fly. Great for making PCs for convention games. I still think the main O.C.C.s from the corebook are the best.
I've used the same three batches of characters for convention games for over ten years. They worked like a charm!

It's easy to add the equipment if you have an old copy of access to work with. Like Office 97 or so. I think the newer version want to convert it and it might not work right. Try at own risk and back it up!

I also removed all the prices, so money was no longer an issue and I could 'buy' equipment as needed and not have to 'pay' for it.

The only way I can print anything from the RGMC is to switch my default printer to adobe pdf, print it, then open the document with acrobat and then print it from there.

I thought that the whole thing was bugged out to the max, maybe it's just my computer. If I try to use it for more than 5 minutes, an error message saying "invalid use of null" comes up and the program shuts down without saving. Sometimes it will happen 3 times in a minute.

No its not just your 'puter, that thing if full of bugs. At the moment I can't remember most of them, but take my word for it. It will crash 99.99999% of the systems its put on. You just have to baby it a lot. I've used it with XP hom and gotten it to run pretty well, but the bugs are all still there ...

I run on an XP system and I've had rare occurances of a crash bug. Other then that it's been a handy tool for generating PCs for my game
