However, just because a kid has a rather prominant genetic quirk does not make him a freak of nature.. we all have genetic differences, they are fairly random, some are beneficial, some are not so great.. most of the time, the differences that are not so great are the ones that are noticed, while other people go their entire lives not thinking twice about stuff like..
"Hmm, nobody in my mothers side of the family ever died of any type of cancer".. or.."You know what, everyone I know has broken at least one bone.. I never have.. even that time I sprained both my ankles, or that time I fell backward off the top of that wall and landed with the branch under me, across my back.. that should have broken something".
When both parents require reading glasses by the age of thirty and one of their kids has 20/20 vision their entire life?
When one small village manages to survive the Black Plague just from a quirk of fate and a lack of receptor sites on cell walls?
While the muscle baby is fine now, when they get older, they will face a whole heap of social pressures, judgements and unwanted attention.. I am glad I'm not muscle baby, because that kid is not in for a very happy life, thanks to the rest of us.
