Here’s the scoop, it’s not a new aircraft, it’s really a fictitious jet aircraft for the upcoming Columbia Tri-Star motion picture "Stealth“. Parts of the movie were filmed on the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72).
"Stealth," starring Jessica Biel, Josh Lucas and Jamie Foxx, is due to be released next summer.
You had me going there for a bit, dag nab ya, varmit.

This reminded me of the old "F-19" model I got years ago...anyway found a link for a similiar looking aircraft.

Then Kitsune's site has this one:

I've been looking for it to come out on DVD since the format became popular!
Think Russian!

So quick techinical question, I thought round edges and the like were BAD for stealth-craft since it gave a good reflective surface for the radar to bounce back from.

LOL, like in Space: Above and Beyond, when they were making the movie some Russian fishermen snuck over the fence and were caught taking pictures of the Hammerhead fighters.

Was there ever a successful movie based on a super secret aircraft? There was that stinker with Eddie Murphy and Owen Wilson (I didn't see it, but weren't they after some super stealth fighter?), there was Blue Thunder (very forgetable...I don't even remember any scenes from it), Firefox was teh suck (I'm sorry for saying that, because I know a few of you here liked it, but c'mon!). I can't think of a single good movie based on a single high tech aircraft.
So while the plane looks cool, and Jessica Biel isn't "hard to look at", I don't think this movie will break that curse.

Check out "Deal of the Century" with Chevy Chase.
lol, was this to disprove my "curse"? I haven't even heard of this one, but it is any good? Also, is it about a super high-tech aircraft that everyone's trying to get their hands on?
The only format that "super high-tech" vehicles works for is TV...If you don't believe me, then here's my proof:
Air Wolf
Knight Rider
Street Hawk (Air Wolf on a motorcycle)
OK, so they weren't the best, but they were very entertaining. The whole "black high tech" vehicle plot was beat to death in the 80's. They even did that show "SuperForce" with the power armor suit...and Thunder in Paradise with Hulk Hogan's high tech boat (Or Knightboat if you saw that episode of the Simpsons). Way better than watching a movie about people trying to "get their hands on it". TV episodes could concentrate on actually using the vehicle.

OK, so Hunt for Red October would be a curse breaker... Now I'll switch up my requirements to a high tech aircraft movie (I'm a sore loser
). Does Macross Plus count? I know it wasn't a series, but it was longer than a movie wasn't it (4 discs)?

Personally I am surprised that the Coalition States do not have a stealth fighter.
The CSN Dagger, and I think to a lesser degree, the Shrike is as well. Both are in the CSN Book.
