How in heck do you want it to come back to live? it broke in several pieces which are now under the sea off the coast of Rhodes, if they were not recuperated and melted down at the time...

Nope, it was bronze, and given the color of old, corroded bronze, it would be the Green Giant

As for the wonders of the ancient world...
Few of them exist TODAY, so some of them are gone by the "present" of the Rifts.
The Pyramids (anywhere in the world), and specifically, the Great Pyramid of Giza would still be present.
The Great Wall was probably partially demolished, but still present.
The Great Library...could have possibly "risen from the sea" after the coming of the Rifts.
As for the rest of the "Seven Ancient Wonders of the World," they are probably gone.
As for the "Seven Wonders of the Modern World," many would be gone or badly damaged.
The CN tower still stands, although it's glory is mostly gone, since it sank almost to the "habitable" part of the building.
The Chunnel is probably still present, although both ends would probably have collapsed.
The Tower Eiffel likely partially collased, but is otherwise reasonably intact.
The Hoover Dam would be gone (erosion and earthquake)...it likely collapsed when the Super Volcano blew in Yellowstone.
And that is about it for what I can (right now) remember of what the "7" Modern Wonders are.

Entirely possible, but unlikely, especially considering the Collosos of Rhodes was of the Helios, not Zeus. Although their is another statue of Zeus on the list.

I think that the statue of Zeus he was referring to was the Chryselephantine Phidias masterpiece created for the temple at Olympia. I don't know how Rifts greece is pomulated, nor if the Olympians are back in charge, but if they are and there is enough of a population, you can be sure they'll have had their favorite shrines restored...
Might make for an interesting campaign ... especially with true Atlanteans thrown in.

Basilisk wrote:Just injecting my comments on some of the lesser-known Wonders:
The tomb of Mausoleus (one of the original 7 and where we get the term 'mausoleum') was destroyed a long, long time ago but it would be interesting to see what was supposed to be the grandest tomb in antiquity come back 'King of the Undead' style.
I can easily see the Hanging Gardens of Babylon being reconstructed by D-bees or modern humans fascinated by the area's ancient history (perhaps a Millenium Tree could act as a centerpiece to the 'New Garden?').
I can't remember, but I think the Parthenon was also considered one of the 7 wonders...that got blown up during the wind-up to WW I (it was being used as a Turkish ammo dump).
Great ideas Basilisk.
the Mausoleum... mhh... how would Mausoleus come back? Master Vampire? Mummy? maybe something in the style of the Ancients from south America? would he be evil?
Excellent idea about Babylon. there were legends about the Tree of Life growing in Babylon (at least if I follow Fritz Leiber's Initiate's Gambit) ... so a Millenium Tree might be appropriate, even in the relative desert of mesopotamia.
the Parthenon was definitely NOT one of the seven ... and given all the work the greek have put in it since it blew up in 1687 (BTW, the Turks had been out of Greece for more than 50 years at the time of WWI) ... it might be in much better state than you'd believe, and even better if Athena herself has directed people to rebuild it.

If you recall legends of Mesopotamia/Babylon they were located between the Tigris and Euphrates and was supposed to be very fertile

The 7 wonders of the ancient world are the lighthouse, the statue of Zeus, the colossus, the pyramids, the mausoleum, the hanging gardens and the temple of artemis.
At least that's the most widly accepted list. Others will include the great library, the sphinx, stonehenge and so forth.
The Parthenon is truly spectacular, but it isn't one single building like all the others. It would probably of been rebuilt in the time of rifts, that is if it get's destroyed, again, by the coming of the rifts. The Greeks are rebuilding it as we speak ya know.

Interestingly enough, the goddess identified by the Greeks as Artemis, and reconducted by the Romans as Diana is a fertility (many breasted) deity, very far from the virginal sister of Apollo. She was probably a closer relative to Cybele, some of whose cult practices she shared

Slight correction. The Parthenon IS a single building, actually the biggest in the ensemble that is the Athenian Acropolis.

Well... one of the reason so many Rifts fans are sore at PB for shelving the Underseas2/Lemuria project is that we're waiting to know exactly WHAT they will do/have done of Easter island

Reverse it how? With the return of Atlantis the water level has risen so the only negative thing I can think of is that the entire Valley could be flooded by seawater. But then again they didn't have the outback of Austrailia as an inland sea which it would be if the water rose an appropriate amount that should be displaced by Atlantis. Then again alot of the Earths land would be covered in water. Mid west America. I thought I read how high the water rose but I can't find it again so I sit here wondering how high it did and wishing there was a map on the net that had variable water level to demonstrate what the earth would look like. But then again it's a game.

Not really, the Persian gulf would be back to its antique shores, likely, but the whole place would not be flooded ... or it would actually have becomr as salf desert.
But the land levels in mesopotamia are not that low, it would not flood completely

I don't know. That's why I'd like to see a sea level model with variable water level control. I could always look at all the topo maps but that would be too much work. However it is a game and I know that the Mississippi delta and the rest of the river should be like Palladium has the Amazon, especially the Bijou.

Yeah absolutely possible. However I think more likely not because it's the sea level that rose not the worlds water level. It's possible that it may have reverted as the rest of the world has due to lack of human manipulation. Just like the Sahara desert should be gone if not smaller. It is America's fault that it keeps growing. In our "infinite wisdom" we tried to aid the area by sending over fertilizers and such to aid in farming. The area got clearcut for farms which allowed the soil to errode and the area only fertile for one crop then another area has to be clear cut etc, etc, etc... So the jungles of Africa should be larger.
