Or they could have taken what they wanted from the site and left before Dunscon showed up and set up shop in the area.

Perhaps Dunscon just doesn't care. After all he's a megalomaniac. Little things like technological treasure troves are kinda beneath that kinda guy. Besides, he's much more interested in magic than tech any day of the week.

You should know better than that... :P

there isn't any conflict here. so? I don't see the problem.

they went and salavaged it. so what if there's a bunch of supernatural pretadors running around? it never said it was safe?

no problems here.

The two sides just cut a deal. That greasy haired idiot, dispite his proclaimations to the opposite, still needs conventional weapons and technologies. GAW would be an ideal source for him on such things. Heck, a wicked GM could write GAW as a front for the FOM. Allister could keep a hands off approch and just rake in all of the intel and tradeable treasures that must flow through it's gates.

Think about all the information that must pass through the GAW facilities. Adventures run afoul the CS? Where and when? How many troops? What kind of items are the Adventurers trying to sell or get repaired? What kind of supplies are they buying and what does that tell the GAW crews about the adventurers' plans?

It would take a multi-million credit a year intel agency to scrounge the same information as GAW can likely pick up while making a profit doing it just by paying attention and listening in. Plus the facility would be and ideal place for the FOM to insert intel operatives and spies. It attracts adventurers, people are going to be recruiting replaces and specialty talent, while those who are looking for work will be drawn to adventuring groups and activities in the same place.
