Okay, it's established in Rifts China that the technical skill Lore: Feng Shui can be used to detect, or at least make a well-educated determination of where leylines and positive/negative flows of chi can be found, and whether local conditions are auspicious for certain activities...but I was wondering if there can be a more proactive application of the skill, such as in the positioning and construction of buildings to channel favorable chi or store it up,,,
Sure, it would take time to create a useful positive chi-pocket without use of something on the order of an Atlantean Stone Master or other mystic artificer, and odds are anyone trying to build such a refuge in the middle of a demon community would be hunted down and his work trampled before it became anything substantial, but for long-term projects it might prove useful, or even in the short term creation of a pocket or hideyhole large enough to hide a person or artifact from demon detection(like hiding in a cesspool..provided the person hasn't left other obvious signs that they are hiding, the unpleasant 'stink' of positive chi could be enough to dissuade minor demons of investigating more closely, or at least throw them off track...). Other uses might include setting up 'safe rooms' against psionic probes or malicious magics, or meditation chambers for more restful contemplation.
Odds are, such applications would only be useful in the peculiar conditions withing the MIsts, but does anyone have any thoughts on a more dynamic application of Feng Shui, or need we start thinking of the Rifts China Feng Shui Diviner or Mystical Architect OCC?

"Trouble rather the Tiger in his Lair,
Than the Sage among his Books,
For all the Empires and Kingdoms,
The Armies and Works that you hold Dear,
Are to him but the Playthings of the Moment,
To be turned over with the Flick of a Finger,
And the Turning of a Page"

Check out Mystic China. it's it's own RPG, also written by Eric Wujcik, that has a list of spells that go with it. in fact, the Fang Shih OCC is dedicated entirely to Fenh Shui dedicated entirely to it. they have a list of Gemoantic spells that would fit right in with it, in fact, several of them have tips for conversion to Rifts
it's also a kickass game in it's own right

Such extensive use of Feng Shui is beyond the scope of the basic Lore: Geomancy/Feng Shui skill (which is notably just a reprint from Mystic China).
Mystic China has a distinct class and set of spells designed for such purposes, and it's not too hard to convert (or at least it wasn't before the whole Chi=I.S.P. thing).
