China 2 errata?

I was reading through China 2, particularly, the Black Tiger Cannon caught my eye. Both the Rail Gun and Mini-Gun put out 2D4x10 damage, I was curious if this is correct or a typo. Doesn't seem quite right. What's the point of using the mini-gun if the rail gun has the same damage AND a longer range?

Can the Mini-gun spray fire as per the Machinegun rules?
If so you use it at close range to take out infantry.

Yes. It
is a machine gun.

Well that doesn't mean anything.
The Naruni Plasma Cartridge Machinegun is a machinegun but it still doesn't use the machingun rules for firing.

Doom...if you
want it to fire like a machine gun, then it does. Assuming you're the GM, and if your players
like the way it works, they'll do the same if/when they are running a game you are playing in...
I've head several of my rulings being used by other DMs in my own group...
Incidentally...anyone know how a book review of China 2 devolved to the point of arguing about machineguns?

It wasn't a review about China 2, it was on topic about the gun stats.

The review was in another topic. This is the errata topic.

[sarcasm]Really?
Here I was thinking all this time that if I deviated from printed rules demons would rift in a torture me to death. Thanks to you I checked and that only happens when you make Cyclops Lightning weapons.
Glad you're here to tell me these things.[/sarcasm]

You're welcome.
Glad I could be of assistance.
You're welcome.
A tip from a master in training...try not to force it out, try to make it sound more natural. That way you can offend people just be giving them a compliment!

You know, if you had a way of capturing the demons when they rifted in, you could make yourself a small army and make lightning weapons

As for whether this was a typo or not, I'm honestly not sure. Either way,
it's what it says, so here's how I'd handle it.
The Mini-Gun is useful for spray firing at close range. I'd say you could
hit 1D4 targets (each of whom gets to dodge) and inflict 2D4 M.D. to each
of them, which could make it an effective anti-personnel weapon.
