WP Sharpshooting Ruling

In the Conversion book, it states clearly that "Any OCC except Vagabond, Dragon and Mind Melter can select the WP Sharpshooting skill."
I recently got the GMG and it states that WP Sharpshooting is for Man at Arms classes only.
What gives?
What happens to characters created before the GMG came out, are they grandfathered in? Do you just ignore the GMG MaA statement? Why did they change this rule or did they?

ignore anything in the GM's guide that conflicts with how you were already doing things

So... No Vagabonds, no Mind Melters, No Dragons, just them fighter types.
To which I personally agree, as only those focused on gun combat would have aptitude to learn that skill.
sharpshooting first came out in Conversion Book One, where it said only dragons, vagabonds, and mind melters couldn't have it.

Don't get Nekira started on Sharpshooting!!!! I watched her increase a thread size by at least a page or two of her own posts alone. She will argue with you to the death about this, then she'll argue with your corpse! FLEE!! FLEE FOR YOUR LIVES!

Not canon advice, but good advice.

EVERY book that has the skill listed since then has contradicted that rule, and has, for once, been consistant, stating that ONLY men at arms can have it.
Yell at me until you are blue in the face, I will not change my opinion.
I don't believe anybody is yelling at you, and (although I can only speak for myself) I'm pretty sure nobody cares if you change your opinion or not.

that was on using paired weapons to use two guns at once. not sharpshooting.

Good point. Seems like an elf would be able to have sharpshooting, archery doesn't it?

Probably best to start a new topic, you will get more attention for your question. I have had great luck getting help from people when I posted questions as new topics.
As for sharpshooting, it is on page 15 of the Conversion Book and page 81 of the GMG. Paired weapons is on page 80 of the GMG.

Erm, i think it's unfair for only men-at-arms OCCs to have it; technically, the Wilderness Scout isn't a man-at-arms OCC, yet it fits them perfectly... as a for-instance.

Problem is, alot of people don't like to play humans. Making them play a CS OCC would force them into doing something they don't want to do, thus depriving them of enjoying free will.

Well there are a few other types of scouts than the CS Ranger.
