Brainstorming session! New German Republic

considering the amount of rules related posts on the boards lately, i figured it was time for a little diversion.
recently i've been brainstorming up new things for the New Navy, in hopes of a rifter article. and i know you guys can come up with some really good stuff.
we'd all like to see your brainstorms.
but to avoid issues with what i'm working on, the first session will be on the New German Republic, which could use some newer stuff.
so use this thread to post your idea's for new power armor, robots, vehicles, weapons, ect. for the new German Republic.
have at it.

Basic upgrades of power armor and Robot units. For example, The Devastator Mk 2, an updated version of the ultimax where the forcefield has been fleshed out and is no longer a prototype, upgraded Jaeger with more modular weapon systems. These should just go to sow the advancement of NGR tech. Also, maps of the region and NGR cities or townships would be great. But please...no more egg scooters

i'm not writing a rifter article for the NGR (thats why i chose it).
basically this is a thread so that you can post your idea's, NOT tell me what you want.
the rifter articles i'm working on are some stuff for the american west coast, and some new sub's and weapons for the New Navy (the new navy stuff i've just got the concepts, no concrete stats yet.)

Give the cartridge weapons more ammo choices.
Add the basis 100 mdc force field system to more units. I'm thinking heavish ground untis like the Ulit-Max, and Black Knight.
give the NGR some form of large energy reserve like the CS E-Canisters. My choice would be something built into a backback, or into standard EMa similar to the CCW armor in Phase World.
Upgrade the armor assests. The Terror tank is next to useless. The Phantom is great, but the weapons are horrible.
This leads me to upgrading lots of the "heavy" unit energy weapons to do more damage. Maybe just allow them all to burst fire so they out gun pistols?
A few new expansion packs for the Jagers. Maybe a jamming system to stop the gargoyles from using communication intercepts, a large grenade launcher/mortor, whatever.

anyone can come up with upgrades to the existing stuff.
basically, this is like those mattbaby contests.
you create something new or different, and the forum gets to veiw it, comment, offer suggestions, ect. consider it a feedback reveiw for non-rifter use.

why? Triax industries would have a research division constantly looking for the next big thing. if TRI-AX R&D develops, say, Turbo-boosters for jet thrusters, and it proves to be practical, you can bet they would upgrade their Predators, dragon wings, and jets with the technology.
just because the CS can't develop its own technology does not mean the NGR can't. remember, Triax is a surviving Pre-Rifts company, it never lost any technology, some of it just isn't practical anymore (at the time) so they don't use it.
the NGR has had more time to develop new tech than the CS, and the NGR started at a higher level to begin with.

These are some of the things that I recommend:
Add the Ulti-Max force field to all the Super Jaegers. Upgrade the main weapons as follows:
1) TX-250 Rail Gun upgraded to TX 275: adds 20 pounds to the weight, MDC= 1D4 (X 10) per 30 shot burst/6D6 per 15 shot short burst/1D4 per single shot(not changed),Range is unchanged,strength requirement now 29.
2) TX-45 Particle Beam Rifle upgraded to TX-46: MDC= 1D4 (X 10)

Well, actually, it was Triax who upgraded CS tech from the Main Book to the CWC.
Though Triax did get GB technology from FQ.
Also remember the tiem and book lag between CWC and the NGR books. There was a huge jump in power levels during that time (ie everybodys tarted carrying 1D4x10 pistols and 2Dx10 rifles).
As for my upgrades for Triax during this time frame (approx 5 years game time ahve passed according to the books):
Firepower: Triax has been tinkering witht heir weapons systems. Assume all weapons do one step of damage higher (ie 3D6 = 4D6, 6D6 = 1D4x10, 1D6x10 - 2D4x10) and ahve their range increased by 25%
Armour: Assume a 25% increase in armour levels on all systems. Also assume that new "glitter" varients of everything have started to appear. Also Stealth varients are also appearing. The force field generator has been improved and applied to several more models.
These are just the evolutionary developments. I did a few new systems too. I don't have the stats anymore but they included:
A fully automatic version of the Pump Rifle built into the TX-500 frame.
A dedicated flying borg with performance comperable to a CS Deathwing or UTI Icarus Flight System
A new heavy aircraft that can be made in cargo transport, strategic bomber and tactical support gunship varients.
A network of beacons creating a continent wide equivalent of GPS allowing for more accurate delivery fo fire support and better co-ordination between units.
A Boom Gun shoulder system for the Jager

GlitterMan and dukeofshadows are the only ones who have managed to post stuff along the lines i was thinking.
no "oh the NGR is broken so fix it this way" or "i want to see this"
new stuff, and fairly cool stuff at that.
in CWC the CS military got a bunch of new toys and cool stuff, in addition to new OCC's, more detail, ect.
basically in these brainstorming sessions apply this principle to the subject group.
so pull a "New German Republic War Campaign"

Kitsune's Rifts page has a great deal of home grown designs and upgrades of standard Triax equipment. Everything from the Predator X10B with slightly improved speed and armor, an upgraded pulse gun, and more mini missiles to the Kondor, a dedicated stategic bomber.

Personally, if I were to do something on the NGR, I would present information on the population and government (leaders, total population, breakdown, etc.) even before I started working on equipment. After that, I would make improvements on older stuff (like increasing the main body M.D.C., because I'm sorry but a robot that is supposedly more advanced than those of, say, the CS, should have comparable or higher M.D.C. than said comparison; or the TX-45 PBC's damage being increased to that of a PBC and not just a heavy rifle). FINALLY, considering the situation the NGR is in, while new weapons and vehicles would be nice, it is easier to modify existing equipment until such items are available, so I would come up with modifications to various vehicles like their Phantom tank (such as additional or different weapons), as well as new ideas.
But that's just me.

Microwave Gun. Causes dizziness, and damage to the exposed skin of MDC & SDC critters alike. But as it has a fairly low chance of penetrating tin foil, it could be safely used to spray an area that had friendly troops in it. (We ALWAYS wear armor into combat). It's not a huge advantage, but it helps.
