Any explanation for Dead Boy/Elite SAMAS experience values?

The pilot is going to be more of a target than the typical grunt, so probably has a much higher fatality rate. Live fast, die young; get lots of xp quick and take them to the grave. Just a guess.

It could be reasoned along those lines. The Sam has a greater tendancy of facing a greater number of more powerful creatures more offen, and thus his exp table is comped for this since the by-the-book values aren't all that generous. Just a thought.
