Yes.

But you can't have any. :P

I dont see why not. Seems like a good enough idea to me.

Just because they can make something, though, doesn't mean the Prometheans would sell it, or even allow knowledge of its existance to become public. For instance, they probably have tech versions of the Anti-Phase power in order to deal with rogue Prometheans and phase mystics. On the other hand, someone with access to that kind of tech could negate a significant Promethean advantage.

What about a tech version of Spatial Distortion: Self on a FTL ship, not just a phase drive? 50, maybe 60 light years per hour? Or anti-matter cruise missles with a 'D-Shift: Distance' effect? That's a reach of 10,000+ miles.

It'd be a cool dimension book, some serious threat like a Mechanoid invasion fleet or one of those demon planets or something, coming after Phase World. I'd like to see what kind of big guns the Prometheans would pull out if they were in serious danger.

I still wanna see the stats on those dreadnoughts... and on the Dominator World-ships.

Well...the bigger on the inside ship you could do with a spacial mage...

Anyway...Imagine a dreadnaught that can go fourth dimentional... using the spell descriptions, that would essentially turn it two dimentional. Good luck finding THAT ship on sensors from the front arc...

Shaded_Helios...

You are a sick, sick man...

I like the way you think...

We also have a perfect reason why KS relegated 2nd stagers to NPC status... they and their "hidden" tech are WAY too munchie!

Oh, and by the way...

"Square" measurements are two dimentional (area)
"Cube" measurements are three dimentional (volume)

If the builders of that monstrosity came along, it would be interesting to see how the Prometheans, the only other beings with phase tech, handled the situation.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that it is not a phase blast *runs to the Three Galaxies*

Ok...it's a phased energy blast. Short of a statement from the authour, I'd have to say it is phased energy, like a ST phaser is a PHased lASER.

And the range is 1000 miles (1601km). Point Blank range when you consider a ST phaser has a 30,000km range! ;)

If you were doing it that way...you could make it any way you wanted. You could even go so far as to have windows in all 4 walls of a square house, plus a door, and have them ALL on the same side of the room you've build extradimensionally. :D

It depends on what you want when you build it.
