New Chi Mastery: Gecko Hand

Chi Mastery (Positive or Negative Chi)
Gecko Hand: The character has learned to focus chi into their hands, or feet, enabling them to stick to smooth surfaces -- like iron filings to a magnet. This power can also be used to lift an object just by touching it. Cost: Two (2) points of Chi per Melee Round to hold the character's body weight, or pick up a small object. Four (4) points of Chi per Melee Round to hold twice (x2) the character's body weight, or pick up a medium sized object. Eight (8 ) points of Chi per Melee Round to hold quadruple (x4) the character's body weight, or pick up a large object.

So, by that, you can walk up one wall, across the ceiling, and down the wall on the other side of the room!

Which is why you would use your hands and your feet. Kind of like wall-crawling, which is why it's named Gecko Hand.

For that matter, it's possible there just isn't enough chi in the world to handle that sort of leverage. Sure, it can support the character's weight, but the character might still be subject to gravity, leaving you hanging from the wall by your ankles.

This is sorta along the lines of my Bubblegum Crisis book describing issues with a superhero lifting a battleships. Paraphrased, it said either the battleship would break in half, the hero would be pushed through the hull and into the ship proper, or the hero would sink into the concrete.

I dunno, it doesn't seem so supernaturally mystical and hard to explain enough to be a Zenjorike. It just seems like another ability developed via years of meditation and Qigong exercises, except with this one, you can pretend to be Spider Man

Yeah. To me Zenjorike are "martial arts magic", and this doesn't really qualify.

Not really. If it was a Zenjorike it would have no Chi cost, and you could move at full Speed.

No. The chi will only extend into the surface that the character is touching. Therefore, if the character covers his hands or feet they won't be able to stick to a wall or ceiling.
