i have a chiang-ku dragon..which is the creator of tattoo magic\tattoos....this was my idea could u make magic tatoos of anything you wanted like for instance a pair of pants....also could you make new powers that are not in the book i read the whole section on tattoo magic and there is no section on this...if the pc is able to create magic tattoos then would it be possibe to create tattoos that are not listed in the book....

if anyone has any idea's on this...new tattoos you have created.....etc...
could you pass some of your ideas on.....in the book is very vauge on the creation of the tattoos....

thanks again

Nothing to stop you creating new Tattoo designs, other than perhaps a sensible GM.

A Magic Tattoo of a pair of Pants (i take you mean the US definition) would probably be an exercise in false economy, and for a variety of reasons.

Just because Chang-ku dragons were the creators of tattoo magic doesn't mean you or any other hatchling dragon can make new ones.
They can make existing ones but it should be a lot harder to make a new magic tattoo then it is to make a new spell.

personally, i would only allow PCs to creation variations of the magic tattos.

for example the pants one. Id say take the magic tatto that grants you increased ground speed, then alter it to where it looks like the PC is wearing magickal pants(there is no change in function or form of the powers in the magickal increased speed/running tatto, just a cosmetic change only, & the PC will have a tattoo of a pair of pants on his body).

Practice makes perfect. Perhaps the first dozen or so times you tattoo a pair of pants, you create a pair of pants, like a weapon tattoo creates a weapon. Plain old SDC pants with the same life span the weapon tattoo has. Eventually, the Chiang-Ku through practice and repetition might be able to create a tattoo with just the right blend of magic to do what he wants, but I don't see why he would automatically get it right on the first try or even the one hundreth.

Who wants to volunteer for a new, untested tattoo? Anyone?

Well, if i was a T-man or Undead Slayer interested in getting some more MDC... every tatto after 6 adds MDC... even if its just one to make a plain ol pair of pants... They might be useful if you find your self naked... or needing to make a temporary flotation device while stranded in the ocean... or naked...

In about 600 years he may get somewhere.
