Well, I'd give any robot/pa an MDC value of 1/2 of it's total main body number- figuring that it can withstand that much more damage before it's a total wreck/slag.
It's a start anyway.....

In Rt i always used either the Combined MDC of the Pilot compartment and Main body for how much Dmg the Mecha can withstand before being Reduced to Slag... after the Main body the Mecha it is still useable for Parts and Salvage.
for mecha w/o pilot compartments, I usually Double the base MDC until its slag
