Night bane- the virus gave you great power

sense you have the NLs you shouldn't mess with the bane. If they have gained their powers through a virus, then they are superheros...and not Nightbane. It would be better for you to keep them a seperate race hidden in humanity, thne to totally change them.

Use the guardian template if you were any thing but a average
guardian you wouldent be on the front lines. Youd be living it
up in rosewell or some other big city as a reserch scientist.

As a average Guardian your familier with the use of bio tect weapons
and items their matance, and fixing them when there broken.

every thing on the earlyer list is open

So many things to choose from:
(And some questions)

Lord Cherico wrote:Sorcerer- Welcome to the US magic core, its a new branch of the military

HEheh, Could we be a HU mage or just a NB type sorcerer?

Lord Cherico wrote:Natural Psionic- The virus gave you tremendous power

Could I play a Blaster form The Rifter #25?

Lord Cherico wrote:Veteran Grunt- you fought in world war 2 are you up for the ultimant fight solger?

Cold you explain more about this option please?
A PM is fine, or a post.

The DreadGuard/Scarcrow/saints are from Splicers correct?

Sorry about he questions but I'm very curious. I can understand if you don't want us to know every thing at once though...

Posted: Sun Dec 05, 2004 5:48 pm
by Prince Cherico
its looks like every ones dropped out which admitedaly sucks

Veteran grunt is a OCC in ninjas and super spys
think of them like ancent masters with a bazooka

HU mage is perfectly OK

Ive got no problems with a blaster in the game

those three are in splicers
Dreadgaurd basically pilot organit power armor
Scarecrows are super powered drug addicts
saints are super medicts who will die and turn into
organitect factorys in a couple decades.

Ok, do you want us to give them a "Codename"?
And if we can't play here, you might want to try RPOL or something...

I'm split between i couple of idea's for the moment:

1)I have an idea for a mutant, she's a female with a "wolverine"/"ladydeathstrike" Furious/beserker type mentality though she's got very different powers.

2)A male D&Dtype Rogue/Assasine Stealthy/speedster type character.
He's intersting because he is under the delusion(or is it) that he's destined to become Death, 4th Horseman of the Apocalyplse....

I can Pm you the details when I finish drawing them up....

Also, while I think you should keep the nightbane seperate from the mutant, there is now reason why some of them couldn't atleast think that they are mutant.....

Supernatural Senses: Nightvision 200ft in Façade, 2000ft (see in total darkness) in Morphus. Sense the presence of other Nightbane 300ft +30ft per level. If the character can see his fellow Nightbane he will know automatically whether or not he is a member of his race. If the Nightbane can not see the person he may be able to still sense the near presence, general direction and distance of a Nightbane by making a Perception roll; this is a conscious effort.
Supernatural Attributes: Nightbane have supernatural strength and endurance. In addition to their great SDC and HP they regenerate 10 SDC/HP per melee round. Nightbane are not invulnerable and can be hurt or killed by any weapon.
Mirror Walk: While in Morphus form, the Nightbane can use mirrors to cross over into and out of the Nightlands. To perform this ability a mirror of any size even a small hand mirror will do but the mirror must have a counterpart in the in the Nightlands. Typically mirrors built into homes and buildings will have a counterpart in the Nightlands. Mirrors on vehicles rarely do because there are no cars in the Nightlands. Once the mirror walk is begun, the Nightbane’s body will flow like thick liquid to pour through a mirror of any size. Seeing a Nightbane pour himself into a small mirror has HF 12 for those not familiar with the process. The Mirror Walk costs 2 PPE and takes one melee round. The Nightbane can carry up to 100lbs of additional cargo or equipment not counting clothes. The character can also transport other people at the cost of 1 PPE per two pounds.
Immunities: Nightbane are immune to all forms of mind control, including vampiric control, spells and psionic powers. They are also immune to the vampire’s slow kill bite. All other attacks inflict normal damage and magic and psionics can be very effective against them.
Immune to transformations: The Nightbane cannot be physically transformed by any means, including but not limited to the following: metamorphosis potions and spells, the transformation ritual, petrified, turn into mist, curses, vampiric transformation, wishes, or any form or magic or supernatural transformation, spell or enchantment.

One Question...

Splicers -- MDC or SDC with an AR ??

cause i wouldnt mind playing a Dreadguard ;)

I'll Post it up once i get a chance

on a Side note

i would not mind playing a Cyborg based on the Narani "Reaper" but smaller much smaller...

As a Backstory, he could be a member of the Race who is at war with the Guardians...His Spacecraft caused them to crash...shapnel forced them to crash also...only a Few survived though maybe 1-3 of them ;)

He uses his own Tech, one of the other surviors, a Blue skined Women with no mouth, is able to Fix and repair him....

*** Just a thought ;) ****
adds alittle tension but can work in the story
Enemy Mine vib...they can Start to become friends...
The Blue Skin chick, can even plan secrety to contact her Race, to start selling weapons here, but something is preventing her comm from working *Night Lords*
The Cyborg *Reaper* is just a Grunt soldier from another race in reality, The Blue Chick was supervising the use of new equipment they sold to them...

------------
Let me know what you Think

Dread guard armor has a natural armor rating of 10

it can be up graded to a AR of 15 but it costs 20 Bio
for each ar point

no cyborgs if you had fallen to earth and you were one
of a kind you would have been decesticed.

by the way if you had been one of the Guardians enemys
they would make damn sure that you became real dead real
quick. The war the Guardians fled from was pretty much a
genocidal affair. It would be like a small group of nazis crash
landing near a large city full of escaped holocost victems.

well i was thinking there were other cyborgs on board too...
This guy is the only one still working though.
The other *roll 3d6* didn't make it for some reason. Plenty of bodies, ect to work with.

As a plot thread device, maybe the Guardian's didnt know anyone survived the other ship's crash. USA Goverment kept that part secret to study the "corpses" and to interigate the Blue Lady *Uteni* and the Reaper Borg. Governement was surprised by the amount of corrorpation them gave them...The Reaper even says he is willing to Fight for them to "earn his keep" kind of thing...Blue Lady lets them know She knows how to fix them, the other cyborgs, and works out a Deal....They can Keep the non-functional cyborgs, she repairs them, and is allowed to leave if her Company comes looking for her. The Reaper Borg gives the USA a Life Dept kind of thing...They saved his Life, his Life is in their hands...but he can be put to work fighting...

The Guardians....when they find out are furious, demand to know why they were not told...Goverment simply says, "It was a Need to Know Situation, YOU didnt need to know"

Gotta Remember this is the about the time the Miltary got all *TopSecret* on everyone, specially Friends/Allies...

Miltary is simply exploting a rare resource...Wanting to see what the cyborg can do in actual combat. To see if even is worth for that Blue Lady to keep trying to Fix the others, which she has been doing for years now. She is almost finished fixing ONE of the others, just so hard to do with the Tech Level of the world...but she manages...slow but steady.

adds drama...polotics....tension

As i said, it was just a Thought ;)

of corse you could say....
This is one of them that was Fixed, and a Human Brain was put into it....
And this will be the Big Test for it...
A WWII vet who lost his legs, arms in the war...

again just a thought....

( :? yes i was reading Narani Wave II again, and cannot get that Look for a cyborg/robot out of my head right now :? )

ill roll/work up a Dreadguard to see how that *feel* for me though...
i could also work up the cyborg and post it in private message for yah, to see how it might work...
Got nothing better to do today ;)

See the problem with that is that we are still starting the game
smack dab in the middel of a city with 20 million guardians.
Youd also be working with a guardian in the case of danny boy.
If danny boy would emidatly try to kill your charater and it
would definitly be completly in charater. I sugest you stick with
the dread guard being an elit power armor pilot using alean
technology is actually more belivable than, a alean cyborg
surviving in a city filled with people who his people tryed to
anhililate. The earth cyborg thing wont work ether this is the
year of 1950 people are still using vacume tubes electronics
arnt advanced enough yet.

Pbp/ Play by Post games are not allowed on Palladium Books Message Boards, due to various problems in the past.

Alternatives for you and your game would be to use something like yahoo.groups.com or even someone elses message board.

I am willing to allow you all to use my site if you like. The link to it is in my sig.

Recruiting players for your games on the PB site is permissable.
