Splicers and Organitech?

I was wondering. I love the game of SF but was wondering if if SF was to die (perish the thought) would Origanitech die with it or is it now part of Splicers? Dont get me wrong, I love the new game but will it replace the old one? What is the future?

The Splicers setting will continue to produce its own organic technology for many years. Consider the two, as far as settings, to be parallel development.
