Is it just me, or does the history of Chaos Earth completely invalidate most of Rifts-Canada?

Been a while since I read Canada. What exactly are you talking about?

The excerpt from Rifts-Canada I have a problem with now that Chaos Earth is out.

"...During the world's Golden Age of Science and its high-tech
explosion, particularly in the areas of human augmentation and,
strangely enough, the high-tech arms race (power armor, bionics,
giant robots, etc.) that seemed to obsess most of the world...their decision to stay out of the human augmentation race and pursuit of technology for military applications, combined with a peaceful lifestyle and being in no danger from any hostile nation, meant the Canadian Military was lacking. Its armed forces and military was roughly equivalent to the end of the 20th Century with only bits and pieces of higher technology..."

This section, and other references to Canada not possessing high-tech M.D.C. weapons, etc. is a crock now that Chaos Earth has Canada as part of NEMA.

I forgot to add the bit about the Tundra Rangers as well. The Tundra Rangers, being able to make their own weapons, would be armed with NEMA era weaponry, power armor, vehicles and body armor, especially with their secret fort.

That refrence could be in refrence to Canada's regular Military and not its NEMA component. In other words Canada's Army, Navy, Air Force, ect stayed at the equivilent of the 20th Century technology as thier was no need to upgrade them to MDC equivilants because of it's NEMA units already used the advanced technology and thier wasn't a need seen to upgrade the rest of it's Military equipment.

Agreed. The Canadian military was simply lacking. NEMA is totally seperate.
The Tundra Rangers already have the early CS stuff, what was that base they hid out in? Did it have full manufactuing capabilities and the plans? As I recall the Ranger's are descended from a seperate organization from NEMA.
