As near as I can tell the Archangel's wingpack is only restricted to specific categories of enhancements at initial creation, and can receive any category of enhancement thereafter.

This would seem to be borne out by the example you mentioned, as well as NPC Archangel John LaCount's wing pack, which has Chameleon Skin.

I think it safe to assume that unless otherwise stated, all bio-enhancements gained with experience are not resticted to any particular category.
There you go man, keep as cool as you can.
Face piles of trials with smiles. It riles
them to believe that you perceive the web they weave
and keep on thinking free.

Considering Arch-Angel is one of the two OCC I'm willing to play from the book, I'm having much the same discussion with my GM right now. Our first adventure kinda called for my other character so it hasn't become important yet but my personal feeling is that while you can only start an Arch-Angel with Vision, Sensory and Ranged Weapons, the level bonus should be spendable anywhere. In addition to simply not being countered by anything official, this would go a LONG way to improving the survivability of Arch-Angels as a whole (shielding is an absolute god send for Angels and Falconers). Granted, there are a LOT of upgrades I just don't see being suitable for wing packs but thats what the living armor is for if there's just something I have to have.

Btw, Slappy - you sir are a truly sick and demented individual and I love your work for it, please don't stop
