RoboGate: SG-1

2 years after the founding of the SGC, a large alien ship Crashlands in the pacific. to their surprise, it is discovered that the ship was NOT built or run by the Goa'uld or the Asgard. since this event was too large to cover up (unlike Apothis' attempted assualt on earth), it was decided to reveal the Existance of Alien life to the public. however, rather than explain the Goa'uld, previous spectacular events were explained as the work of the Giants, and that the earth was in great danger from them. this information, given first to national goverments, and later the public at large, resulted in the political unification of most earth goverments into a single over arcing orginization. Reconstruction of the Alien Battlefortress became the showpeice of a massive program to technologically upgrade earth. technologies developed or recovered by the SGC were snuck in as revelations from the Fortress, and used to improve the already remarkable technology. by 2010, earth had not only reconstructed the Fortress (now known as the SDF-1), but had also secretly constructed several powerful BC-303 Prometheus class Battlecruisers, as well as both conventional and transforming military vehicles designed to fight both the Goa'uld and the giants.

at the SDF-1 launch ceremony, the Giants struck. attempting to regain their fortress, and ignoring the seemingly primitive human defense systems, a fleet arrived in orbit around earth. it was the last mistake they ever made. Naquadah enhanced Reflex missiles fired by VF-1 valkyrie squadrons made short work of the fleet, except for a few ships which managed to fold out in time.

with a victory against the Giants under their belt, and high on the thrill of victory, the SDF-1 was launched successfully on its first flight. however it was a short lived victory. less than a month later, the Zentreadi Grand Fleet arrived in orbit, preparing to hold the planet hostage for the return of the SDF-1. refusing to yeild, earth launched its full defensive fleet. the Zentreadi, to their surprise, found the Sheilds of the SDF-1 and BC-303's to be nearly immune to thier guns, and unwilling to deploy their maincannon against them for fear of destroying the PC Matrix, the Human forces mowed through them. however, once it seemed that the grand fleet would lose, Lord Dolza ordered Breetai to withdraw with the Imperoclas fleet, and ordered the destruction of Earth. 70% 0f the planets surface was devestated by the bombardment, but in the end, the grand fleet was destroyed and its remnants scattered about the earths surface.

Babylon 5 wouldn't be all that zany of a crossover - Ardwright Chamberlain (one of the directors , producers and voice actors of Robotech) was the voice of Kosh, and assisted in some of the same details for Babylon 5.
