I had a great idea about Hook Line and Sinker stories for BTS...
the characters are aimed as supernatural investigators by design...
and alot of people run it as people who do other jobs, but moonlight by sniffing around haunted houses or whatnot...
but what about the people who you call when your kid has been complaining about the monster in the closet, then one day he goes missing and you find claw marks on his window sill...but the police just file it as a missing person...
or when you see some..thing...in your backyard one night..and it carries off your dog...
who do you call?
When the Cops have let you down, and the Ghostbusters can't be found, Give the S.C.I.G. a call...

Making straightforward adventures/investigations/haunting etc is pretty simple. The fun part for me as a Gamemaster is laying enough clues to several of these occurrences that lead to a larger overall theme, whether it be a mad mage, an intrusiver supernatural intelligence, a interfering government agency etc, so that the players say "OH! It all makes sense now!" once they have figured out what is behind things.
Continuity is the buzzword of the day.

Yeah...
I'm using the flexibility of the concept to introduce her to the whole game system at first, throwing a bunch of situations at her so she can really get a feel for her character...
then I think I'm going to toss her a curveball after all the inhuman monster bashing...
mind controlled cultists with zombies and a mindolar mastermind

Keeping it simple at first for a new campaign is something I always recommend. In fact, the first adventure for any new campaign I run is always something I call "Orcs". The orcs being actual orcs, thugs, zombies, or whatever basic stock monster the game has. Keep it simple and let the characters bash around their opponents. It lets them have fun with their new characters and introduces them to the game system at the same time. Hopefully at this point any mistakes made during character creation (ie. forgetting to buy HTH skills?) can be rectified before you settle down to the thick of it.
