Its pretty much an X-Files like RPG with a focus on psychics and those who study and fight the supernatural and paranormal. The setting is our current time and no one but you and a select few actually believe that the SN exist. You can play a variety of characters from ordinary people, to characters that have an array of psychic powers. Take a look at the Palladium home page which has links to sneak peaks about the book.

Welcome aboard.
This game setting combines elements from various horror genres. You will role-play a character who is either drawn into the conflict with supernatural forces, or willingly seek out and investigate those same forces. In some cases, you will portray a character who is driven to protect those around you from supernatural evil, while other times, you will be compelled to keep a low profile and protect yourself, but are nevertheless drawn (or inspired) to participate.
There are a variety of characters to play: some have psychic abilities, others are simply intrepid and curious, some have a detailed understanding of mysticism and psychic phenomena, while others are just discovering that there are forces beyond the comprehension of science.
It's cool, with a concentration on establishing mood and atmosphere in a suspensful horror tradition.

Does that avatar I have look like a blade copy to anyone else?
lmfao!
Mediums rule, as to Latent Psychic Parapsychologists, Genius/Naturals, and Ordinary People.
check out Geronimo 2.0's review of BTS2, that avatar is the Ghost Hunter's picture, and they are very much a Blade rip off...

A little.
Try the Parapsychologist.
I also like the Natural, and the Physical Psychic.
The pyrokinesis character is also kinda cool.

Eh...kind of...but you can just make your own.
and they work good as Helpful NPC's, Protagonistic Competitor NPC's, PC's, or even flat out Enemies
