Wormwood Humans
Ok I've completely fallen in love with the Wormwood setting however there is one thing I'm curious about.
Do the Wormwood natives inflict MDC with their hands? If not then they could effectively punch and kick each other until they're both worn and tired and neither of them would have a scratch.
If yes, then that would mean that they could kill any SDC human like nothing. The way I've been playing is that they do MDC to other MDC beings but not to MDC armor, and SDC to SDC beings.
If no, then how the heck do they do any damage to each other in a hand to hand fight?

I'm currently working on a big Wormwood submission for the rifter, outlining the begining fo the great Tribulation as well as a few NEW kingdoms for you to play in.
Studying it as I have been the past little while, I have come to the conslution that Wormwood should be a dimention book for the Palladium Fantasy RPG, and should be played as an SDC world. Not only does it eliminate this whole question, but it also means that everyone gets their PS damage bonuses.
Keep your eyes peeled for some new stuff soon.

If that doesn't prompt you to buy it, I don't know what else I can say.

Not unless they belong to an O.C.C. that does, such as the Apok or Monk, hence the numerous house rules you've seen here (some of which are erroneously claimed to be from the book).
There you go man, keep as cool as you can.

I should find the write-up I did of it. Way back in the day when I was running material past Kevin in the hopes of writing a second Wormwood book, I brought up this point and the resulting discussion produced that material.Tinker Dragoon wrote:Not unless they belong to an O.C.C. that does, such as the Apok or Monk, hence the numerous house rules you've seen here (some of which are erroneously claimed to be from the book).
Hmmmm, it may even still be up on the boards in one of the many posts about this subject.

Without trying to pry, Steve, why was there not a second Wormwood Book?
Did the company think it wouldn't sell or see enough support to warrant one?
Just curious, as it seems to be one of the most innovative settings they ever produced. I'm not sure why it has been hidden under the stairs like some bastard child.

A falling out before it got beyond "hey, Kevin, wouldn't it be cool if there was another Wormwood book?" ... "Yeah, Steve, it would ... keep it in mind for the future, why don'tcha."

While I would love to see more stuff for Wormwood, I would strongly prefer that Tim Truman and Flint Henry be heavily involved with it. I believe that without them, the feel of WW would be lost.
when you get right down to it, Sentinel's right.~Uncle Servo.
Sentinel. you'll be always loved by the German Princess.~Nelly
That's twice in one day Sentinel has cleaned up my mess.~The Galactus Kid.

if wormwood humans are MD creatures do they have supernatural strenght? and if they don't, then how can it be justified that they do MD damage? and if they don't do MD damage why are they MD creatures?
I don't like the do MD Damage to MD and SD Damage to SD rule that many seem to like. a normal human with a vibro knife would be more dangerous then a dragon wolf.

MDC Skin and Supernatural Strength DO NOT automatically follow one another. Off the top of my head I can list about two dozen Creatures who are MDC skinned but NOT also endowed with Supernatural Strength, and vice versa.....Agent_gir wrote:if wormwood humans are MD creatures do they have supernatural strenght? and if they don't, then how can it be justified that they do MD damage? and if they don't do MD damage why are they MD creatures?

The problem is that the Wormwood that was released was already modified from what Truman and Henry intended, as is obvious from the inconsistencies and contradictions between the comic portion and the game material.Sentinel wrote:While I would love to see more stuff for Wormwood, I would strongly prefer that Tim Truman and Flint Henry be heavily involved with it.
