Since Journeyman often refers to someone who has had a certain amount of training in a tradeskill, why not go for a Bio-Mechanical inspired approach.

For Marathon, it could refer to someone who is very tough, as in a "marathon" session of something, or you could use the unearthly beauty tables to make something that is inspired by the fact that Marathon was a Greek city. Pretty or mostly human like NB are referred to as Venus and Adonis by older NB after all.

When i read "Journeyman" i instantly thought: ...Blacksmith. So, maybe he could be a very old Nightbane who's bio-mech stuff is ancient-style. Just an idea.
