I think I'm too biased to vote

I noticed the Rifts Jump Drives in the Phase World book, let the ship target the same dimension.
I'd like to be able to answer that, but I don't have any books to reference. I've long since sold pretty much all my Palladium stuff except for Wormwood and the stuff I contributed to. Refresh my memory as to what those spells do and I can tell you how I'd handle them.

in other words using it like Teleport Superior.
Personally, I wouldn't allow it. The spells are specifically designed for dimensional travel, so I'd imagine there's a some sort of in-game reason why it won't work in the same dimension, along the lines of how you can't use a phone to call another phone in the same house on the same line.

Now, why would you want to go and do a thing like that for?

Lost interest in the system. Even while writing Rifter material and working on manuscripts that never saw print, I wasn't playing Palladium except for playtesting. The only thing that still holds my interest is the Wormwood setting, and if I go back to that I'll just use another system for it.
The good news is that most of my books went to a buddy, so they found a good home.

I like and use the OCC, but i think it is tipping the top end of the power scale. I say "but" because, for the most part, i play low-powered games. So, it is only in the hands of NPC at this point.
Oh yeah, and i renamed it: "Celestial Math"

That's what it was designed to be -- it is powerful, but you still have to use your imagination more than anything else to use the class effectively. There is very little that is just "point and pull the trigger" about the character's power, requiring a good deal of creativity.

Actually I've created a home brewed spell for a Rifter submission that tackles that issue Gadrin. Let me know if you want to hear about it.

if you have Rifter #15, there's a short blurb on it on pg18. I had seen another more detailed entry, but I've forgotten where it's at.
hmmm it specifically mentions Wormwood. I'll have to read that intro story of ET's.
well that was the intention of ET's ley line walker: to open a dim portal and use it to teleport to another point on the same plane.
gadrin- you've got a PM, and I think I have #15.. I'll have to check when I get back home.

While we are talking about spatial mages (and thread necromancy) a few questions about their realms to anyone who would answer.
Mainly how does anybody who is not a spatial mage get in or out? I see nowhere in the materials where anybody without the ability to force the portal open, or are the creator of the realm, can actually get in.
I don't even see where it states how the creator lets others in (though they must obviusly be able to bring in plants and potential inhabitants).
How does everybody handle the various entrances and how the comings and goings work?
Also,d oes anybody think there should be a maximum ammount of PPE per level the Spatial Mage can invest in his realm? A 1st level character with some lucky PPE roles can create an incredibly powerful realm.

I ws re-reading it last night and it says
"(Creating a realm) is done by the createor permantly sacrificing some PPE from his PPE base."
Therefore, only the creator's PPE can go into it. Those who donate PPE to the project are considered to be a creator by the realm and the donation needs to be willing.

True, but you can't use the realm to off them.

I'm all for more Spacial Mage spells and abilities....why should planet-bound mages have all the fun? The universe is vast, and the Void filled with potential and power...to those who can properly perceive and manipulate it!

I know what you are talking about Darkmax. Although I have to agree with Gadrin about how it works.
