When do you use Save vs Pain

Other than the few instances listed in places like Mystic China, when do you require a saving throw vs pain to be rolled? Me, I like them for fairly damaging attacks (20+ in one hit), attacks to the groin, torture, and a few other odds and ends.

Uh yeah, and mentioned in the very first post of the topic.

Okay, don't laugh at this.....

It wasn't for passing out/unconsciousness, but a couple of PCs that didn't have horsemanship had to ride horses (needed a lot of help to get on them). The next morning, I had them roll save vs pain to see if they could get back on the horse or if they simply couldn't face the idea and walked instead.

Can we laugh because that's awesome?

1. all gunshot wounds to characters with less than 75 SDC.
2. all attacks that reduce that characters SDC by 30% or more in one attack.
3. atemni abilites.
4. groin shots.
5. fall from 30 feet or higher.

Now that has got to suck, but at least it wasn't as bad as what happened to one of my characters last night. I was going for a simple Basic Match roll to see if my character could figure out the actual pay rate for a mission (including travel times, distance, logistics, etc) and rolled 00.
