Why ??

Splicer had only the advantage of being set in dead mystic zone. Elsewhere the Riahtenor will win. Period

The Old Timers here on the boards know i'm a huge fan of the Riathenors.

BUT

Depending on the build of the Dreadguard is the biggest factor.

I gotta vote Dreadguard though.
They have alot of awesome weaponary to use.
They have more MDC on Average.

Either way, its a close call though for me.

there are not enough riathenor to threaten the Dreadguards. Dreadguards have more weapons and more powers. The spelsl the Riathenor have make them ideal as pirates, not shock troops unles you're dealing with Veteran riathenor.

True.

wow, Dreadguard are winning.

Hows about if the Battle was taking Place in RIFTS ??

Riathenor would have their MD Magics, Stats, ect...

Dreadguard would have all their stuff too...

Depending on the build, of the Dreadguard it could be close to a sure win ;)

if it was on rifts earth, the riathenor, they suddenly gain instant access to spells that allow them to operate fearlessly.

What about Dreadguard vs. Riathenors on a SDC world, standard level of magic? ie... Heroes Earth?

they'd be even unless it involved a bunch of riathenor who freshly gorged and had Dagotes and giants with them

They would have access to their innate spells in any enviroment/setting. They could still feed on the PPE of humans to fuel their spells.

RIFTS doesnt give the Riathenors that big of advantage really.
MDC Weapons/Spell Capable, MD Armor.
Since Splicers' setting lacks Magic, Riathenors in Splicers would be SDC based still.

Now in HU2's Setting, Splicers would convert to SDC with ARs. Prob between 11-15 AR.
They would be fairly even.

The biggest Advantage the Riathenor have is the Supernatural PS, PP, PE, Magic Blades, Magic Energy Weapons, and their Spells.
Ok, the Riathenor has alot of great advantages in HU's settting.
But a Dreadguard if built right, could still be a monster on the battle field.

Even in Rifts they are close in power...but again the Dreadguard's build might tip the balance big time, or the Bio-E it had to work with.

If you are going for a customized Dreadguard you should go with one of the more elite Rianthors.

Daggotte ?

With their ability to summon up to 13 fellow Riathenors, A Lone Dreadguard could be outnumbered pretty fast ;)

I kinda petty a Dreadguard who faces a Riathenor Daggotte.

Considering that pretty much all Splicers Host Armors are customized, Id only start looking for lesser elite Raithenor at level 5 or so and the bad nastys at level 10 or so.

I meant customized specifically to fight the Rianthor.

ahh...got yeah.

No Heat Weapons, no flame/plasma breathes, ect...
Heat Resistance is a must, as well as Resistance to physical/cutting/impacts both of them...

Super Light Cells or Bio-energy vents good options.
Blades would help.
Extra Armor too.
Bio-missiles.
Acid Blood ;)
Omega blaster or two... ;)

Host Armor like this ;)

I've always prefered bio-e pistols to vents. Beter payload before you start suffering penaltys with physical stats being what they are in my group, pistols are nasty.

The weapon mods Slappy put up would be good options too actually.

Depends on how many bio-energy vents you have of course...

i perfer Super Light Cells myself.

6 on the right arm, 6 on the left arm, 4 on the forehead.
ALL in a single volly at one target.
16d10 damage...that is 16 to 160 damage

Now if you have an Extra Pair of arms...6 per arm too.
28d10...28 to 280 damage in a single volly...
Thats awesome.

I'm finding out also, Photosynethis HA rock...
