Mind Trap?

So, question about this particular psionic. When a character is trapped in a Mind Trap, are they basically a sitting duck in the real world? I'm just trying to work out how to balance the ability with the fact that the player can't see what is going on around him. Any suggestions (or rules that I may have missed?)

If the trap is simple, the creator of the Mind Trap only loses one attack per melee, otherwise they can't defend themselves.

I was thinking more about the person being affected by the Mind Trap. Such as if Fear Bear were to use a Mind Trap on random mutant, would that random mutant be able to defend themselves from physical attacks in the real world?

The victim of a mind trap is effectively helpless and unable to interact with the real world.

That's why going up against the terror bears with less than five people is like signing your own death certificate. At least it was for us.

I've seen that scenario go down several ways, the GM really needs to be up on psionics to make that adventure go down the way it was intended.

Also, never underestimate how subtile and surprising psionic attack [especially mind trap] can be.
...Especially when the victi...players are young and stupid...
