Two martial artists of equl skill face each other one armed with
a whip the other with a sword who would win and why?

what kind of sword?
what kind of whip?
They maybe of the same skill training, but what about physical limitations? Is one stronger then the other? Faster?

They are of equal strength and skill as for weapons
Kitana vrs bull whip
both weapons are of extream quality.
Combat will take place on a flat plain with no interferance of
any kind.

If the Sword guy is a badass, like Ogami Itto.
Then he totally wins...if it's like, the campy 60's Batmans Catwoman, she purrs, and Sword guy lowers his guard, and she chokes him to death with the whip.

Bonuses don't really matter if one guy keeps rolling ones and the other rolls twenties.

Raiders of the Lost Ark eventually gives way to the Temple of Doom.
I go with Sword guy, but I admit, it could go either way.
Whips can kill.

have you really seen what whips can do to people. it can create huge gashes in the skin. whips can be VERY lethal.
