Weapon kata is simple. It lets you add W.P. bonuses to your HtH bonuses. N&S is different from other Palladium games in that W.P. bonuses normally do not stack with HtH bonuses.
Five principles gives you a boost to parries and lets you auto-circular parry for a round, but you can't make any attacks.
Warrior spirit basically let's you intimidate or unnerve a single opponent you focus on.
