most of this seems cool and all... but is it just me, or is there some "only ORIENTAL martial arts can have ANY powers" thing going on here?

with a slight exception for one or two of the African styles...

just strikes me as kind of odd as I'm skimming through...

Not at all, however, martial arts in the rest of the world, particularly Europe, are less likely to have martial art powers for the simple fact that those styles don't emphasize such training.

I see nothing of Systema, a Russian Martial Art. You can find info on it here. www.russianmartialart.com

Indeed, thank you. I trained with Vlad a few yrs back. I train with a group of guys who use Systema principles as well as Aikijuijutsu. Does anyone use it for their character?

500 eh? Good. I'm happy to know I left it in good hands. Who knows, maybe one of these days, I'll actually crack a Palladium book again, and do a few more styles. I still have research notes for a couple dozen. And one of these days, I still have to do the Sinanju write up. :D

Slightly off topic, I would find that list a little more helpful if there was an index that sorted the styles by nationality.

It was debated for a while, however, due to the high incidence of fictional styles for other settings, it was decided that implementing it wasn't worth the trouble.

In a perfect world they would be cross referenced by country or region and by general strengths ie Internal, External, Weapons, Multiple Attackers ect. AS it is the list is fairly usable. It just takes some time.

Sinanju , you sure you can do it ? I've read some destroyer novels and it's unreal.

Nope, it would be a conversion and those are a no-no. I doubt I'd do it in any case though, I'm opposed to converting stuff just because of how 'kewl' it is when you see it on TV/Movies/Books/Comics/Etc.
