Enlightened Question

Currently one of our Rifts groups got sent back to 2008, and we're trying to figure out how to get back. In this group I play as a Japanese Ancient Master (HU style) from Rifts Japan. This PC was created by the GM, which I have no problem with, but when he first gave me the PC he was hinting that I should have him become an Enlightened Immortal. Neither one of us has Mystic China, but we both have Rifter 3, which had some conversion info on the subject. One of our other players, who had a scheduling problem for a few months, has the book, but hasn't been able to lend it out because of the problem. So when he has brought it, I've done a little reading on the OCC to the point where I think I should have him stay in the past and try to gain this knowledge. The GM hasn't really said anything, but has seen me reading the book.
Now for the questions I have. Please show me your enlightenment.

1 = Each time I die, I would be "reborn". Is this me being reborn and later regaining my memory, or is it someone of the same race, or a totally different person? I think (from what's written) it's the same person, but that wouldn't allow for different life experiences, which is where I think the OCC should head. Kind of like Dax from ST:DS9. I'm sure I would always be human, but not about the other things.

2 = When reborn, do I pick an new OCC (can't remember right now, but I want to say yes), or do I have to switch OCCs, as if I never died? Are old skills frozen until I reach that level in the new one? Do I regain any SDC and/or attribute bonuses from the old OCCs? And what about Chi, PPE, and ISP?

3 = What about looks? The PC is an Ancient Master who is 37 years old, but looks 70!

4 = If old skills are forever frozen at the level I died at that time, do my new versions of me have them when at lower levels? Same with magic, Chi powers, and all that. Could I even use the Chi powers or magic?

5 = Do I roll new attributes after each rebirth? Same with PPE, ISP, SDC, and all that.

6 = Are there any OCCs, PCCs I couldn't take after a rebirth?

That all that I can think of for right now. Again I thank all answers that don't give me headaches. :P

You stick with your old OCC, though you can no doubt switch to a new one. Everything stays the same.

3 = What about looks? The PC is an Ancient Master who is 37 years old, but looks 70!
See "Apparent Age" under each refinement of the Elixir of Immortality."

4 = If old skills are forever frozen at the level I died at that time, do my new versions of me have them when at lower levels? Same with magic, Chi powers, and all that. Could I even use the Chi powers or magic?
Eventually.

5 = Do I roll new attributes after each rebirth? Same with PPE, ISP, SDC, and all that.
No.

6 = Are there any OCCs, PCCs I couldn't take after a rebirth?
Not really, though the character isn't suddenly going to become psychic.

That all that I can think of for right now. Again I thank all answers that don't give me headaches. :P

you are reborn in a new body. you start out as an infant but later regain all your memories at around 20 years old or so, early adulthood, and also regain all experince levels, ect.
2 = When reborn, do I pick an new OCC (can't remember right now, but I want to say yes), or do I have to switch OCCs, as if I never died? no, though an enlightened immortal could probablly take many OCC's in general over time

3 = What about looks? The PC is an Ancient Master who is 37 years old, but looks 70!

Depends on which Refinement of the Elixer of Immortality your on.

4 = If old skills are forever frozen at the level I died at that time, do my new versions of me have them when at lower levels? Same with magic, Chi powers, and all that. Could I even use the Chi powers or magic?

as soon as you regain your memeories you pick up straight where you left off in ALL regards.

5 = Do I roll new attributes after each rebirth? Same with PPE, ISP, SDC, and all that
.

Same ol' same ol', no change

6 = Are there any OCCs, PCCs I couldn't take after a rebirth?

you can't become psychic if you wern't to begin with, ever.

but in general, you don't get any new OCC's persay but an immortal has plenty of time to take several.

I don't see an Enligtened immortal ever becoming a Juicer, or Cosmo Knight though.

That all that I can think of for right now. Again I thank all answers that don't give me headaches. :P

Well, somewhat, I don't know where Nekira pulled the nonsense about "around 20 years old or so" from. The book clearly lists 17 as the age you regain the final piece of memory.

Ah, okay. I thought when you said "new body" you meant a new body, and not the same body (just starting from birth) as before.

the body IS young, it's the soul that's old. but it dosn't take long to bring the two to their old state togeather.
