Defining A New Martial Art Ability

This point has come from watching some of the various animations that show martial artists in combat. In the case of the "awareness" of an martial artist, they can sense things happening around them. Now I have seen an (animation) example where a martial artist can actually deflect bullets with a sword. Could that be considered a newer martial art ability, or a more advanced version of a current one?

You could simulate this by modifying one of the specialty katas,
Or the GM could allow you to parry bullets with your sword by virtue of your skill.
There are OCCs in Rifts who have the ability to parry bullets and e-beams with their weapons, to have a basis to draw from.

It's already been done. It's called Tamadomejutsu and it's been classified as a Zenjorike power.

The Zenjorike power that Kuseru stated is interesting, but with a bit of tinkering, it could work in the game that I am GM'ing. All of the other points have been helpful as well. Thank you for all your help.
