I bid thee welcome, Dome001. Yes, like Eden Studios' Terra Primate, this is a well-made but often overlooked role-playing game. There's plenty of material to give you an overview of the world and what isn't there can be readily had from any nonfiction book you can think of that would be appropriate to the setting. What's better is that you can play the game fairly seriously or with varying degrees of B-movie Bruce Campbell campiness.

Hell, that square-jawed gun-wielding Exterminator in the book might as well be Bruce.

One recommendation. Get Palladium Books' Compendium of Contemporary Weapons. That'll give you a broader range of firearms to work with, plus some more armored vehicles and heavy weapons. There are some inconsistencies within the text (one 5.56mm gun doing 3D6 and another doing 5D6 despite it being the same round), but that's not insurmountable. If using firearms from a nonfiction book or magazine on guns, take the muzzle velocity and divide it by two to get the range on rifles, and by four for pistols and SMGs. It's not 100% accurate by any means, but it works for role-playing games. For shotguns, just use the default ranges in the game book.

Oh, I neglected to mention 28 Days Later and Night of the Living Dead for movie viewing. That'll give you some ideas on how you might handle Silkworm Zombies, minus the disease spreading and the eating of human flesh (though seriously messed up humans are capable of both).
